Dr. Joshua Pond, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Farmington

Dr. Joshua Pond was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1977. Ever since the age of 4 he desired to become a doctor so he could help people. He completed an undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. While attending university, he met his wife Brooke, who was getting her undergraduate degree to pursue chiropractic. After getting into a car accident, she managed to 'convince' Dr. Pond to finally see a chiropractor. He went to see a local chiropractor, and after the first adjustment felt like a million bucks! Having no idea one could feel so good without drugs or surgery, let alone a single adjustment, Dr. Pond's career path immediately shifted towards chiropractic. Dr. Pond and his wife both attended Logan College of Chiropractic together, and following their graduation, they moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to practice where they had been married. They practiced in Myrtle Beach for 16 years before Brooke passed from a rare and aggressive cancer in 2019.

Between his wife's passing and the onset of the pandemic, Dr. Pond decided it was time to begin life somewhere new. In the fall of 2020 he moved to Logan, UT to work for Dr. Norman at Peterson Wellness Center. Several months later, he transitioned into purchasing the practice and stepped back into an ownership role. Around the same time he acquired the practice, Dr. Pond also met his beautiful wife Lyssa. In December 2021 they were married in the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Dr. Pond was able to play the piano for his bride and she was able to walk down the aisle with the sharks! It was an amazing wedding that led to him having an even more incredible step-daughter Jocelyn. Dr. Pond couldn't feel more blessed at having a second chance at having a family. And now he has the immense privilege of working at the Joint, continuing his lifelong desire to help people feel better.

In addition to being thankful for his family and work, Dr. Pond also has many hobbies and interests. He taught himself to play the piano in high school, and has been playing piano/keys in churches for the last 20 years. He has always loved playing board games, and currently has collection of well more than 100 games and counting! Dr. Pond enjoys reading novels and watching movies, especially those with a sci-fi or fantasy theme. Growing up in Canada, Dr. Pond has been an avid hockey fan for all of his life; however, moving to Utah opened the door for him to actually begin playing hockey. For more than 2 years now he has played goalie in a recreational hockey league in Logan, and just recently won his league's championship in May. Dr. Pond is incredibly grateful to have the family, friends, and support that has helped him reach this point of his life.
