Become A Couch Potato If You Want A Shorter Life
By Tom Herrin
Some people are in a hurry and simply want to get things over with. This may include all kinds of areas. But when it comes to life expectancy, there really aren’t that many who feel that way. Aside from some problem, most probably would like to live a little longer. To go along with that notion, many would likely prefer to put off aging as long as possible. While this may seem impossible to some, it can be a reality in other cases. People seem to be living longer and enjoying life more in many instances as they realize that aging may be delayed or managed with effort.
Exercise May Free People From the Bondage of Aging
It is critical for people to exercise. The body needs the opportunity to work and develop. When people exercise, they can build or retain muscle mass and improve the heart’s ability to move blood, thus more oxygen supplied to the cells. It can maintain mobility and help to avoid injury. It also can help improve bone density which is often a considerable problem with aging. People who work out are seldom seen as bent over and feeble.
There Is No Substitute For A Good Attitude
Everyone enjoys people with good attitudes. They tend to be more accepting and encouraging to others. It is a great way to have, and keep, more friends. Those with good attitudes often see themselves with more purpose. They view life as an opportunity. Studies also say they may be able to expect to add several years to their lives. A smile may be worth far more than anyone can imagine.
Foods Can Make A Difference
Choosing the right kind of diet can mean a difference in the way the body works. The right fuel can help it to be more efficient. Certain others can help it to operate cleaner with fewer problems. You need to evaluate your personal needs when you try to make decisions about diet. A good diet should be planned with a purpose for the kinds of foods to include and the kind to leave out. The Japanese are known for particularly long lives. A major source of protein for them is fish, which contains omega-3. This may be part of the reason. Educate yourself on foods, exercise, and attitude. Make some kind of start today and adjust as you go. Staying away from that couch potato stigma may provide you with greater longevity.
