Meet The Doctors
Born and raised near Akron, Ohio, Dr. Autumn Burns has always felt like the Bay area was a second home after coming on vacation here as a child. Growing up she saw how opioid epidemic had affected her hometown and that many people originally became addicted to their prescribed opioid medications. Dr. Burns decided that she wanted to become part of the solution rather than the problem, and chose chiropractic in order to help people with their chronic pain without having to rely on addictive medications.
After graduating Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Dr. Burns moved to St. Petersburg in order to finish her education. She attended National University of Health Sciences, graduating near the top of her class as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She is trained in several different adjustment techniques - manual, drop table, instrument assisted, and Webster technique, on top of being certified in acupuncture. She has had experience treating a wide variety of injuries, including post-surgical rehab, car accident injuries, as well as common musculoskeletal pain in patients ranging from infants to the elderly.
In her free time, Dr. Burns enjoys doing yoga, weight lifting, and trying new restaurants with her boyfriend. She can frequently be found with a coffee in hand, spending time with her cats, Bowie and Freddie Mercury, and doing one of her many hobbies like crochet, gardening, or reading a fantasy novel.
Dr. Fiona Hynes was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at Towson University, and then received her Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida in 2021. Dr. Hynes has a passion for treating athletes, children and expecting mothers alike. She is trained in Webster Technique, and is currently studying to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Outside of Chiropractic, Dr. Hynes enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Dr. Ellis and their golden retriever, Dax.
Dr. Diaz, originally from Puerto Rico, is a Board- Certified Chiropractic Physician licensed in Chiropractic and adjunctive Therapies in Florida. He earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education at the University of Puerto Rico. He also was part of the Track & Field team and trained with the weightlifting team. After several injuries, he decided to change his path from PE teacher to Rehabilitation-related field. When Dr. Diaz learned about Chiropractic, he immediately knew that’s what he wanted to do. However, Dr. Diaz, did not speak English which made him struggle with the decision.
Dr. Diaz decided to attend Life University in Marietta, GA where he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Master of Science in Sports Health Science, Chiropractic Sports Science track. Dr. Diaz was exposed to different chiropractic approaches such as Full-spine, Gonstead, Thompson Technique, SOT, Activator, Extremity adjustment, Cox Technique, Functional rehab among other electives and classes. He attended seminars, courses, and certifications to learn and to bring the best quality care to the patients. He has been certified in Cox Technique Lumbar and Cervical, RockTape, Fascia Abrasion Technique and Mulligan Concept.
Dr. Diaz is currently finishing all modules to become a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) and planning to continues a post-graduate study in a chiropractic specialty to further deliver the most updated evidence-based chiropractic care.
Outside his work he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He also likes reading about treatments and rehabilitation articles, trying new restaurants, outdoor activities and going to the beach and to the gym.
Dr. Olivia Knight was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Marketing at the University of South Florida. She continued her education and earned her Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Knight is skilled at Palmer Package (Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified) along with Activator, and Active rehabilitation.
Dr. Knight believes that the chiropractic profession has a longing need to educate individuals and communities that chiropractic care is more than just an adjustment of the spine. It is a preventative art and science to improve the body’s mobility, heal the body from pain, and enhance the overall well-being of individuals. In a society where we rely on SICK-care, Dr. Knight feels it is her duty to provide HEALTH-care to those who want to make their health and quality of life a priority.
When not in the clinic seeing patients, Dr. Knight values time with her family and fellowship with her church. She also enjoys spending time at home with her Doberman, Vienna and working on home improvement projects.
