Meet The Doctors
I’m a proud 3rd-generation chiropractor. I always knew that I was meant to be a chiropractor and am blessed that I am able to provide this amazing healthcare choice to the Cedar Valley area.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Northern Iowa. Next, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa, fulfilling my lifelong dream of serving as a chiropractor. While at Palmer, I served as a Clinical Teaching Assistant for my attending doctor in the Palmer Clinics. I also completed an intensive three month internship in St. Paul, MN where I gained clinical experience in SOT and chiropractic cranial adjusting.
After graduating from Palmer, I joined my mother in her practice for several years before returning to the Cedar Valley. After moving to Waterloo, I realized the need in this community for convenient and affordable chiropractic care, which is what brought me to “The Joint Chiropractic”.
Outside of practice, I enjoy reading "all the books", going to the movies, and attending the fantastic shows at the Gallagher-Bluedorn. I am a member of St. Edward Parish and P.E.O. I am happy to be here in the Cedar Valley enjoying everything our community has to offer!
Dr. Mitchell Borem began working at The Joint in 2021. Before graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. He says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is, “Being able to help patients get back to doing the things they love.”
When he is not working, Dr. Mitchell enjoys farming, spending time with his wife, Sarah, and son, Blake. He also enjoys attending sporting events, hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. Four people, living or dead, who would comprise of his perfect dinner party would be, Michael Jordan, Eric Church, Abraham Lincoln, and Brian Urlacher.
Dr. Zach Salow works full time at our Cedar Falls clinic and was born in nearby Delhi, Iowa. Playing sports growing up, chiropractic care was the only thing that helped him with injuries which led him to enroll and then graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport in 2021. Helping people through their pain and seeing their quality of life improve is his favorite aspect of being a practicing chiropractor.
Dr. Zach is engaged and set to marry his Fiancè, Angie this coming fall of 2022 and they recently moved into a new place in Independence, Iowa. In his spare time you can find him watching or playing sports of any kind. The coolest thing he has ever done is unlock a padlock without knowing the combo.
