Meet The Doctors

Dr. Justin Tomblin, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Sherman

Dr. Justin Tomblin opened The Joint Chiropractic’s Denton clinic location in 2010, where he has served residents for more than a decade.

“Chiropractic encompasses everything I love about healthcare,” he says. “I get to make real changes in my patients’ lives without having to rely on medications.”

Dr. Justin was born and raised in Southern Oklahoma and enjoys working on and building classic cars and motorcycles, which he enjoys with his adult son. He also has a couple of dogs, an American Staffordshire terrier named Zoe and a red heeler named Gus, who’s an Australian cattle dog.

Dr. Justin attended Parker College of Chiropractic, where he got a bachelor’s degree in health and wellness and a doctorate in chiropractic.

“I remember wanting to be in healthcare since I was in high school, but knew that I didn’t want to rely on pushing pills for a living,” he says. So, when I finally decided to go back to school when I was in my 30s, I started applying to medical school hoping to become a surgeon of some sort. According to the staff and faculty at the school I was applying to, the surgical specialties that I wanted were really difficult to get, and if you didn’t get chosen for residency in the specialties that you applied for, you basically got relegated to a general physician pushing pills, which is not what I wanted to do. My brother suggested chiropractic school. I had only been to a chiropractor a few times in my life, so when I researched it, I found that it fulfilled everything I wanted in service to people. Now I love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else.”

He has built a business and culture that he is proud of, and couldn’t be happier serving the people of Denton. “It’s really rewarding that I have gotten to know a lot of my patients on a personal level and become friends with them,” he says.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Justin loves a couple of breakfast staples that he says he always keeps stocked in his refrigerator: bacon and orange juice.

If he could bring together any four people from history for his dream dinner party, Dr. Justin would send invitations to “Chuck Norris because he’s Chuck Norris,” he says, “Carroll Shelby because he created some of the greatest cars ever, Gen. George Patton because he was a badass, and George Carlin because of his intelligence and realistic views of society.” Dr. Justin is fortunate to have done many interesting things: “I'm Always Finding More Cool stuff to do and see.”

Dr. Glen Jukes, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Sherman

Dr. Glen Jukes began his journey as a local healthcare provider at The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 and in 2023 he joined the Sherman clinic location to continue doing the work he finds so rewarding.

Dr. Glen, as his patients call him, likes seeing patients advance from pain relief to improved health and wellness. He also values the opportunity to develop friendships with his patients and coworkers.

“Working at the Sherman clinic is wonderful, not only because of the staff, but I appreciate just how authentic and friendly the patients are,” he says.

He grew up in Simi Valley, Ca., and previously worked in Hollywood and Woodland Hills, Ca.

When he’s not working, Dr. Glen enjoys day hikes, miniature wargaming, and watching NFL teams face off. His wife, Kathleen, is a former massage therapist.

Dr. Glen attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology while taking pre-med coursework. He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles.

“I had migraines at university, and although I had a great medical doctor, he couldn’t help me,” he says. “A friend suggested I see a chiropractor. I was skeptical, but it worked and I forgot about med school.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

He always has green onions on hand. “My wife couldn’t live a single day without them,” he says.

If Dr. Glen was planning the perfect dinner party including four famous guests, he would invite:

John Locke – “I’d be curious what he thought of modern Western culture.”

George Washington – “To hear firsthand about the founding of America.”

Calvin Coolidge – “To hear what his solutions for modern government would be.”

Bernard Sumner of the band New Order – “To explain the background to some of his songs.”

One of Dr. Glen’s favorite experiences was the first road trip he took with his friends when they were in their early 20s. “We went to the Kern River where we backpacked in the moonlight, then spent a day riding inner tubes through some dangerous rapids on the river,” he says. “It was a trip of exploration and thrill-seeking that left me with a life’s worth of memories.”

Dr. Nathan Wooten, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Sherman

Dr. Nathan Wooten joined The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2015, and in 2024 he became the clinic director in Sherman where he continues the work he finds so rewarding.

“What I enjoy most about serving residents in Sherman is the opportunity to help patients recover quickly, most of the time without medications,” he says. “I also appreciate the chance to establish long-term relationships with patients.”

Originally from North Dallas, Dr. Wooten previously served patients in the Dallas suburbs.

“I have been interested in the human body and physiology since I was young,” he says. “I was originally targeting physical therapy, but that path led me into chiropractic care.”

His wife, Melinda, is a nurse for Blue Cross. They were childhood sweethearts, together since ninth grade.

The couple has three dogs, Max, Ginger, and Choco. “Choco is a rescue pitty, and we are soon to inherit a retiring guide dog named Madeira,” he says.

When he’s not working, Dr. Wooten enjoys photography and doing anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, archery, and camping with his family.

Dr. Wooten earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Parker College in Dallas.

“I worked in a chiropractic clinic where my physical therapy professor was a patient,” he says. “Daily I saw people being healed where general medicine had failed. Chiropractic was the answer for so many obscure ailments that could not, and should not, be treated with prescription drugs.”

His most memorable experience as a chiropractor occurred when he treated two children with autism. “They were very kinetic during the first visit and I felt I did not get much accomplished,” he says. “During the second visit the children were more calm, focused, and they let me complete a greater level of treatment. I saw several children with autism in those two weeks.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Wooten always keeps cholula hot sauce on hand. “It can go with just about anything,” he says.

If he hosted a dinner party including four famous guests, Dr. Wooten would invite: Lee Evans for a comedic outlet; Gordon Ramsay to cook; Willie Nelson to chill out; and Pokey LaFarge for music.

The coolest experience he’s ever had was skydiving. “If you know, you know,” he says. “If you don't know, you should very soon.”

Dr. Wooten’s favorite book is White Bone. “It was the most unique I've ever read, with heartfelt, tender moments and comedy, as well as complexity,” he says. “Fine storytelling.”
