ChiroCare Centers of Excellence and the National Task Force on Spine Care
A non-profit network called Chiropractic Care of Minnesota Inc. is the number one provider of professional chiropractic care and acupuncture in all the Upper Midwest region of the Untied States. This organization is constantly looking for ways to improve the landscape of chiropractic care for patients in the Upper Midwest and hopefully in patients across the country. In setting these lofty goals, the Chiropractic Care of Minnesota Inc. believes that it can truly make a difference in the quality, delivery, and efficaciousness of chiropractic care nationwide.
After developing a National Task Force on Spine Care, which was comprised of medical doctors, chiropractic doctors, physical therapists, and research professionals from various different regions, the chiropractic think tank arrived at the idea of a chiropractic center of excellence. In this collaborative effort, the National Task Force on Spine Care was able to form a list of qualities that a chiropractic center of excellence exhibits and earlier this week, the announcement of a program launch was made.
Moving forward, the program called ChiroCare Centers of Excellence will seek out chiropractic clinics that are displaying the qualities outlined during the meetings of the National Task Force on Spine Care, and designate them as centers of excellence for their efforts. A center of excellence designation involves collaboration between multiple different professionals to form treatment pathways, the integration of various different techniques and approaches to patient care, finding ways to reduce costs for their patient network, and focusing on quality rather than getting more patients in and out of their clinics.
With the motivation to achieve center of excellence designation and attract more patients to their clinic, the National Task Force on Spine Care is expecting to see a vast improvement in musculoskeletal health outcomes throughout the area. Many other areas of medical care feature this centers of excellence program, and some of these areas are relatively new in terms of specialized clinics. For example, centers of obesity management and bariatric surgery have their own centers of excellence designation despite only having been in existence for a few years.
The merging of resources and the collaborative effort carried out by the National Task Force on Spine Care will most likely prove to make a world of difference in chiropractic care in this region, and hopefully we will see other regions of the country catch on.
