Dr. Shannon Lopez D.C., known as Dr. Shannon to her patients, is super excited to be the main Chiropractor at this location of The Joint! She’s eager to meet all her new patients!
Dr. Shannon started her relationship with The Joint in North Carolina in 2021. Born the youngest sibling of 3, Dr. Shannon opted to follow a path reflecting her desire to assist others in their path of wellness, a direction like her sister who shares a career as an MD.
Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Shannon previously lived in Raleigh before settling in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, and her Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Life University in Marietta, GA in 2020.
A professional career as a Chiropractor was a natural progression for Dr. Shannon who was an athlete throughout her years in school & college and was always concerned about wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Shannon started playing team sports such as soccer and basketball at the age of 5 years old. She continued to play sports and participate in various types of outdoor activities mastering roller skating and running. During high school and college, Dr. Shannon ran track & played volleyball. She has always been active and played sports.
In Case You Didn’t Know
The coolest thing she’s ever done was participating with her brother in Tough Mudder, an endurance obstacle & mud run course of 15 kilometers. Dr. Shannon was one of the few females that completed the obstacle course and got the tee-shirt! She loves exercising, being active and soaking up the sun on the beach with her husband when vacationing!
A professed foodie and iced-tea connoisseur, this health-conscious Doc enjoys favorite snacks of buttered pasta noodles or classic Italian bruschetta loaded with tomato and basil. You may see her in the morning at Starbucks grabbing a coffee, or at one of the local Phoenix eateries.
