4 Boosts for Morning Workouts
While summer is almost here, our bodies may not be on the level we want them to be!
Busy schedules may make it hard to get ourselves to the gym and start on a workout regime. But while it may be difficult to get up in the morning, trying to make at least 30 minutes of active time before heading to work may help you get closer to your health goals!
The key to working out and staying on that schedule, is Motivation. We all possess the ability to work-out and get those killer bodies we have always wanted, but to get there we need to motivate yourself.
Read on about more ways that you can motivate yourself to get up and workout in the morning!
Pumping up with music
If you are anything like me, music makes you want to do all the things that are hard to do. From cleaning, to homework, turning on your favorite style of music may be the key to waking up in the morning.
From the start of your morning, playing music while getting ready may help with motivation. Another great motivation is making a music playlist dedicated to your time at the gym. Knowing you have a fun mix to listen to at the gym that is just for working out, may help you get pumped for your day!
Make a schedule
Even if you are not a schedule type person, writing down what you are going to do, makes a big difference when it comes to exercise. Commit yourself to cardio on certain days and don’t forget to log in when your rest day is!
Workout Clothes
Who doesn’t get excitement from a new set of clothes?! Choosing fun and new clothes to workout in, may help boost your joy to head to the gym in the mornings. Be sure to set up your exercise outfit the night before, this way you can prep yourself for the workout the next day!
Sleep
The worst thing about working out in the morning, is the exhaustion of not getting adequate sleep. Of course you will struggle on a morning workout if you only got 4 hours of sleep! While some people may benefit from a short amount of sleep hours, many do not. If you know you need a good 8 hours of sleep, be sure to push yourself to get ready for bed at the right time in order for you to be rested for the next day.
