Meet The Doctors
Dr. Kat was born and raised in San Francisco. Her parents immigrated to the Bay Area from Hong Kong. Dr. Kat studied Kinesiology at CSU East Bay, and then attended chiropractic school at Life Chiropractic College West. She always wanted to work in the healthcare industry, and ultimately chose chiropractic work so she could provide a different perspective on health care in a holistic way.
Dr. Kat helps people achieve their health goals and return to doing the things they enjoy. She loves when patients share with her their happiness as they become pain-free through chiropractic care.
Prior to joining The Joint Daly City for its opening, she worked in the Tri-City part of the Bay Area. She returned to the peninsula so she could work close to home and give back to the community she grew up in.
Ask Dr. Kat about her 11-year-old Maltipoo dog and her one-year-old tabby orange cat.
Dr. Justin was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated from St. Mary’s College in 2017 with a B.S. in Biology. After his undergrad, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He previously practiced in San Jose, Hayward, and Mountain View prior to joining The Joint Daly City for its opening.
Dr. Justin became a chiropractor after shadowing his uncle in college. He saw the benefits patients would receive from regular chiropractic care. He enjoys being a chiropractor because he can help patients feel better and achieve physical goals.
In his spare time, Dr. Justin likes to snowboard, fish, and try out new restaurants.
Dr. Sherman Zhu grew up in San Francisco. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Psychology, and then went on to attend Life Chiropractic College West. Before joining The Joint Daly City, Dr. Sherman practiced in San Bruno and Salinas.
Dr. Sherman uses chiropractic care personally to support his weight lifting hobby. He had low back pain at a young age from lifting with improper technique. He wasn’t even able to bend down to put on his socks. Chiropractic care helped him get rid of the issue and build a stronger foundation for weight-lifting and for life. Now, as a skilled chiropractor himself, he loves helping other people get back on their feet and back to doing the things they love. He is eager to help every person that walks into the clinic.
In his spare time, you can find Dr. Sherman in the gym. Ask him how much he’s been lifting lately! Dr. Sherman also loves walking or having a picnic at Golden Gate Park. He’s also recently picked up pickle ball.
