Are You Clean Enough for Good Health?
By Genevieve Cunningham
When it comes to good health, you’ve probably heard a lot of differing advice. If you want to be healthy, you have to move all of the time. If you want to be healthy, you have to watch what you eat. But one piece of advice that might surprise you is: If you want to be healthy, you need to be clean. Chances are good that you’ve never heard this one before, but the sentiment might be more true than we realize. If you are looking to boost your health and feel your best, take a look at whether you’re clean enough to make it happen, and what exactly that means in everyday life.
Is Your Diet Clean?
A clean diet can make us feel good from the inside out. It generally consists of lean meats, fresh vegetables, fruits of our choosing, and other foods that are unprocessed and toxin-free. Eating clean can help clear your mind, move digestion, clear the skin, and even help you lose weight. If you’re not following a clean diet, you’re not as healthy as you could be. Give it a try and see how you feel. Chances are good that you’ll never go back because you’ll really feel that good.
Are Your Hygiene Habits on Point?
We all know that hygiene is important, and for the most part, we follow the rules. We brush our teeth and wash our hair. We wash our clothes and keep our homes relatively clean. But do you consistently wash your hands? Do you wash your face every night or after you’ve been exposed to dirt or toxins? Do you wipe down surfaces and doorknobs and bag handles regularly to minimize germs. Probably not. If you want to be as healthy as possible, clean up this area of your life right away.
Is Your Mind Clear?
Part of living a healthy life is good mental health. And the only way to have good mental health is to keep your mind free and clear of worries. To be fair, you’ll always have a little worry and a little stress, and that’s OK. But if you are overly stressed, it’s time to rid yourself of the baggage. Practice meditation, ask for help, or find a stress relieving ritual to keep you grounded. When your mind is clear, you’ll feel healthier both mentally and physically.
Being clean is about way more than just taking a shower! It’s about what we put into our bodies and how we take care of ourselves. Make sure that your life and habits are as clean as they can be. With the right habits and an end goal of a clean life, you can be healthier and happier than ever.
