Stop Eating This to Promote Weight Loss
By Virginia Laird
There are many who choose to attempt to lose weight throughout the year. While approaching the subject, much research is done. Many begin to consider expensive diets, which some require auto ship. Still, others may look for more drastic measures in an attempt to achieve quick weight loss. Health and wellness experts suggest that there are plenty of alternatives for weight loss rather than investing an astronomical amount of money monthly. A few things that these experts would have you give up to help promote such weight loss include:
- Soda can be detrimental to weight loss
- Sugar can add inches to the waistline
- Bread can pack on the pounds
Soda Can Be Detrimental to Weight Loss
If you are a soda drinker there are a few things you should take note of. First, regular sodas, which means not diet sodas, are full of sugar. There is little to no nutritional value of drinking a soda. While diet sodas may not have the same amount of sugar, they do have chemicals which can be detrimental to one's health. With this information available, you can easily see that it matters not whether you prefer to drink diet or regular sodas. Both options can lead to weight gain and increased chances of developing other health issues. Research suggests that those who quit drinking sodas can lose up to 5 pounds within just a few weeks. While it may not be what you want to do, if you are looking to lose weight it maybe worth a try.
Sugar Can Add Inches to the Waistline
Sugar makes everything taste wonderful. I am a huge fan of chocolate. Really, just anything sweet. However, one of the harmful effects of sugar is that it can cause weight gain, among other serious issues. Sugar drastically increases the opportunity for developing diabetes and other health-related issues later in life. If you are considering reducing or even giving up some of the amount of sugar you choose to consume in a day, be advised this action can help you see results quickly. Rather than giving it all up at once, it may be better to reduce your sugar consumption slowly until you have mastered a life of no sugar.
Bread Can Pack on the Pounds
One of my favorite parts of every meal is the bread which accompanies it. Just the smell of bread seems to pack pounds around my waist. The thing about bread is that it is full of carbs, which tend to store in the body. Although bread alone is not the enemy, consuming too much bread can prove to pack on the pounds. Consider limiting yourself to just a couple of servings of bread each week to help reduce the amount of unwanted weight you have around your hips. This choice can be a difficult one to make and follow through with, especially with the holidays approaching. However, it can be one you will not regret once you have mastered it.
