Work Out Without Getting Up

The idea of sitting in a chair and working out just doesn't sound right, but it is actually possible. In today's world, lots of people spend most of their workday sitting in a chair as they perform some kind of task such as operating a computer, working a telephone, or doing some kind of clerical work. It can be confining as well as tiring while still not providing any real exercise. There are exercises that can be done while someone sits, and they can do a few basic things for health. If people will simply make a plan and carry it out on a regular schedule, they can expect results to show up in a short period of time.
It May Work With Yoga Poses
The namaste gesture is one of those classic poses that most people recognize. In this, people will sit up straight with both feet on the floor. They will bring their palms together in front of their chest. Pressure is applied until the muscles contract. It should be held for 20 seconds. This is an isometric exercise that can perform some effective work and be done anywhere.
It May Help Work Your Core
Another simple exercise is done by sitting up in the chair while allowing the feet to hover above the floor. The participant can them grab hold of their desk and turn themselves side to side in the chair, allowing it to swivel. Each complete swivel left to right is counted as one repetition. It is suggested that 10 to 15 repetitions is what can be considered to be a workout. The end result is a decent workout for the core.
It May Work the Legs
When people sit all day at a job, their muscles can sort of atrophy due to a lack of exercise. This sitting can cause a loss of strength and flexibility. One exercise that can be done is performed with the legs crossed. You can simply attempt to extend your legs as far as possible. Resistance can be created by pressing down with the top leg. Holding for 20 to 30 seconds can provide the stress that may work the muscles. It should be repeated by trading placement of the legs so that the other can be worked. You may decide to get a little creative with your workout by focusing on something that you feel affects your personal needs.
