Meet The Doctors
Dr Eric Smith was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but moved to San Diego, California at an early age and considers himself a true Californian at heart. He graduated from Westview High School in 2009 and graduated from Brigham-Young University-Idaho in 2016 with a Major in Exercise Physiology and a Minor in Spanish Language and Literature. He graduated with Honors from Southern California University of Health Sciences-Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2020 where he accumulated hundreds of hours working on fellow students and members of the community. Dr. Eric worked in many different clinics across Southern California including Cal State Los Angeles Health Center, Pasadena, West Hollywood, Solana Beach, and Mission Bay where he worked with athletes, students, workers and retirees of all ages in the application of Chiropractic techniques and principles.
Eric believes in evidence-based healthcare and knows that Chiropractic can help patients achieve their wellness goals. He has seen many patients overcome their obstacles and be able to perform at their optimum ability. His goal as your Chiropractor is to be able to treat anybody who walks through the door and provide personalized care to each of his patients.
Dr. Eric joined the Joint in April, 2020. He says the best thing about working at The Joint is being able to meet so many new people and establish connections with many different people as he serves
When he is not at The Joint, Dr. Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, Brittney and his infant daughter, Daisy. Family is one of the most important aspects of Dr. Eric’s life. He looks forward to taking Daisy on a daddy-daughter date to Disneyland and creating good memories with her. Eric loves to mountain bike and hike and be out in the beautiful climate of Southern California.
Dr. Roy was born and raised in South Korea. While he was studying Sports Medicine in CHA University, he constantly wanted to learn more about the human body. One day, he was introduced to chiropractic in a class and was fascinated by the deepness of the chiropractic. Immediately, he decided to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He started to explore various chiropractic techniques by observing doctors and joining clubs.
Dr. Roy truly wants everyone to be healthy. He believes in the power of natural healing in our body, and hopes to help people to reach their full potential.
Hello, I'm Joel Correa, and I am excited to join the Joint Santa Maria family as a chiropractor. My passion for promoting holistic wellness and my commitment to providing personalized care have guided my journey in chiropractic practice. I received my Bachelors of Science from the University of Southern California then received my Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles. I have been in practice for over 20 years. I am fluent in Spanish. I specialize in a family type practice. I see patients of all ages. I use Diversified, Activator, and Thompson Drop techniques to address most of my patient’s needs, and I am committed to tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient. I believe in a patient-centered approach that focuses on not just alleviating symptoms but addressing the root cause of discomfort. My goal is to empower patients to take an active role in their health and well-being through education, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and enjoy an active lifestyle with my family and all our pets. I love to play golf and practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I am thrilled to be part of the Joint and look forward to creating lasting relationships with our patients. Dr. Tina grew up in a farming family in Los Alamos; CA. Providing sustenance for others is in her genes. Her Italian grandfather was not only a farmer but a hands-on healer using a combination of massage with joint manipulation to take away aches and pains. She recalls, "He would make us feel better even when we felt good!" She was fascinated with this skill set and inspired to help others in this health-full manner.
Dr Tina attended Life Chiropractic College West and graduated with honors in 2005. After graduation, she moved to Italy had practiced there for 8 years. Since 2015 she has been providing chiropractic care for pets and their people too. She is a certified animal chiropractor and can adjust horses, cats and dogs too!
