Chiropractic will Change the Way You Describe Pain
By Donna Kostiew
I know pain. It has visited my daughters relentlessly for the past five years. And although I can’t feel their pain personally, I can sense the intensity of it just by looking into their eyes. When you love someone who is in constant pain, you start to understand their reactions to it. You see, there’s a strange transformation that takes place from when pain first rears its ugly head to months or years later, when it’s still sitting by their side. Over time, what was once something that they would describe in vivid detail has become something that they describe in one word. “It’s good,” “it hurts,” “I’m coping.” The pain hasn’t changed … not at all … but their willingness to continue to give it life has. And more often than not, everyone in pain has their own specific word each and every day.
What is your word? Have you been experiencing pain without any long-lasting relief? If you have, I encourage you to visit your local chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic.
How is Chiropractic Care Different?
The body has its own innate ability to heal itself and barring any extreme injuries, chiropractic care has been shown to help restore its health.
- Addresses the root of the problem – There are a number of health problems that are rarely corrected at the source of the problem and are simply masked with medication. Your chiropractor will work tirelessly to find and address the cause of your pain and then come up with a treatment plan to bring you relief.
- Removes nerve interferences - The adjustments your chiropractor performs properly align the spine, which is crucial to having a healthy nervous system. Normal nerve transmission and function helps to stimulate the body’s communications which allow the body to recuperate on its own.
- Encourages healing for optimal health - The great thing about chiropractic care isn’t just that it will help to get you out of your pain naturally, but that it also encourages your body to stay well all of the time. This non-invasive approach reduces the stress that is placed on your immune system and allows the nerves to work freely and optimally, so every cell and organ in your body is positively impacted.
- Reduces the need for medications and surgeries – Although there is often a need for certain medications and surgeries, there are always additional health risks or potential addiction issues that can come with them. So if you can, why not try to avoid that path and choose the one that heals your body naturally instead?
Your chiropractor will offer a comprehensive approach to your overall health and wellness so that someday, you may be able to live with less pain or even no pain at all. Their goal is to help you change your word, and wouldn’t it be great to finally be able to say “it’s gone.”
