If you’re having difficulties with nausea, you may want to consider eating small, frequent meals five or six times throughout the day instead of three large ones.
It’s also very important to get the proper vitamins, especially early in your pregnancy when your baby’s spine is forming. Many experts recommend that all women of childbearing age take folic acid supplements even if they’re not planning on becoming pregnant.
Let’s Get Physical
In most cases, healthy women are encouraged to exercise throughout their pregnancies. Exercising safely can strengthen the muscles that will be needed during later pregnancy to carry a large baby. Of course, in your condition it’s important to work out safely. Select activities that don’t involve any jarring or bouncing movements. This doesn’t mean you have to put away the running shoes or stop taking aerobics classes if you’re an avid fan; but pregnancy’s not the right time to take on a new activity that involves a lot of jumping up and down.
Proper Ergonomics
If you have to spend a long period of time sitting at a desk, it may be worth it to make your work area as ergonomically correct as you can. Make sure that your computer monitor is positioned so that the screen is at eye level and keep your feet on a footrest to prevent pressure on your hips and legs. You should also take frequent breaks to get up and stretch throughout your day.
