Where Did That Pain Come From?
By Tom Herrin
Often when we feel like we are in pretty good shape, we are suddenly hit by pain in the lower back, hip, and/or leg area. We ask ourselves where in the world that came from. We don’t remember straining anything or doing anything that we thought would cause injury. But sure enough, we’ve got pain that won’t let up. What's a person to do? Chiropractic may be the treatment that provides real relief.
There Is No Comfortable Position
As with many things, we think that if we could just lie down, we will be able to rest. With sciatica, or pain in the sciatic nerve, that may not be possible. Trying to lie down may be extremely difficult. There is that pain that seems to almost burn through us. In my case, it would feel like someone is running a hot iron through my hip area and into my leg. And while pain relievers may offer temporary help, chiropractic can offer a much more lasting form of real treatment. Believe me, I’m looking for a pain reliever to get me through the night, because in the middle of it is when I most often had trouble.
I Want To Take Positive Steps
Once we have a night with that kind of nagging pain, we would rather not have another one. Sure, once we get up and move around the next day, we might think that maybe it wasn’t so bad. But it was! This is the best time to seek treatment in the form of a plan. The Joint Chiropractic has plans that can be personalized for your individual needs. Many of us prefer to do something that we feel is constructive and will build up our bodies to be able to better function without pain. At The Joint Chiropractic, you can receive treatment that will likely include some chiropractic adjustments, as well as possibly an exercise plan that can provide greater support.
Some Treatments Are Cost Prohibitive For Me
Another really great thing about The Joint Chiropractic is that you don’t even need insurance. Yes, you read that right. Sure, everything has a cost, but they have plans that are, many times, less than an insurance copay. The Joint also has great hours, including days, evenings, and weekends. And there are more than 350 locations around the country. You can take your plan with you to various locations as you travel. So don’t let that sciatica pain stop you from doing what you enjoy. Just add some quality care to your busy life and you won’t have to be afraid to go to bed anymore.
