Meet The Doctors
Dr. Mason Newsome attended the University of South Florida, Saint Petersburg and graduated in 2015, earning a degree in Health Sciences with concentrations in public health and healthcare administration. Dr. Newsome continued his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida where he earned his doctorate of chiropractic degree. After earning his chiropractic degree, he began practicing in 2019. He has been with The Joint Chiropractic since January 2020. He now serves as a clinic director of Apopka, Ocoee and Oviedo. Dr. Newsome focuses on patient rehabilitation and pain management through chiropractic adjustment, exercise, and postural corrections.
Dr. Jonathan Henriquez D.C. was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is bilingual having learned Spanish as his first language. Dr. Henriquez has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida. While attending the UCF he began to compete in power lifting which he still participates in today. Dr. Henriquez also received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Henriquez is board certified in Chiropractic Medicine, and Physiotherapy. He also holds certifications in SFMA level 1, ART Spine Level 1, and Rock Tape FMT basic. Dr. Henriquez has a passion for serving his community and creating positive changes in peoples lives.
Dr. Tara Jones is a Mississippi native. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s of biomedical sciences in 2017 and went straight into studying for her doctorate of chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. After graduation in 2020, she moved to practice at a family-focused chiropractic clinic in her hometown from 2021-2022. Life brought Dr. Jones back to Florida, and now she practices at The Joint Chiropractic Apopka. She is excited to be a part of the team, and she is passionate about helping patients manage and treat their pain through adjustments and lifestyle interventions. Dr. Jones enjoys educating her patients on how to improve their quality of life through regular chiropractic care. She is a proud wife and fur-mom (she has 2 dogs & 2 cats). A fun fact about her is that she has ran 6 Disney Marathons and plans on participating in many more in the future.
Dr. Marcelus Greenwood was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Winter Garden, Florida at the age of 12 where he was an active participant in sports, the community, and school events.
He went on to attend Florida Atlantic University where he received his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. After suffering various injuries while playing sports in high school and college, he knew there was a more well-rounded approach than the typical recommendation of drugs or surgery. He always knew he wanted to go into the medical profession, helping future patients live a healthy lifestyle, in the most holistic way possible. That is when his passion for Chiropractic was discovered. Dr. Greenwood received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus. During his time at Palmer College, he was actively involved in the Sports Council Club which allowed him to utilize his knowledge and expertise to help individuals throughout the community at numerous outreach events. Doing this allowed him to discover the true benefits of Chiropractic, as he saw so many people being positively affected by it.
In his free time, Dr. Greenwood loves playing basketball, working out, relaxing, and spending time with family. He also finds enjoyment in living an active lifestyle, cheering on his favorite sports team which is the Orlando Magic, and spending time at the beach.
