Dr. Christine Britt joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2020 with her arrival at the East Coral Springs location. She studied biology and psychology from Rutgers University before getting a doctorate from Life Chiropractic College.
“The thing I like best about being in the chiropractic field is witnessing people’s lives change for the better,” she says. “The other thing I love is working with newborns.
It’s extremely gratifying meeting and giving the first adjustment to the baby of a mother you took care of during her pregnancy.”
Before working in Coral Springs, Dr. Britt served the Florida communities of Tallahassee, Coconut Creek, West Palm Beach, and Lake Worth, as well as Marietta, Ga.
When she’s not working, she enjoys staying active through yoga, Pilates, hiking, and dancing. She also likes meditating, relaxing at the beach, traveling, and attending concerts.
Dr. Britt knew that chiropractic was the life for her after seeing a large number of chiropractors in one place. “As a chiropractic assistant, the doctor I worked for took me to my first chiropractic seminar,” she says. “For the first time ever, I was surrounded by positivity, love, and people living life to its fullest potential. I knew, at that point, chiropractic would forever be a part of my life.”
A product of Jersey City, N.J., Dr. Britt claims to have the cutest dog ever, a 5-year-old goldendoodle named Alfie that she walks in the community -- the same community in which she works.
“I live in the neighborhood and love working here,” she says. “I am excited to meet and take care of the people in my community.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Britt loves her butter, and it’s one particular type of butter that she always has stocked in her refrigerator: “I’ve always got sea-salted butter from pasture-raised grass-fed cows. Salt and healthy fats make everything taste better.”
If she could bring together any four people from history for the dinner party of her dreams, Dr. Britt would send invitations to first lady Michelle Obama, comedian Amy Poehler, Incubus lead singer Brandon Boyd, and multi-New York Times best-selling author Brene Brown.
Dr. Britt was able to experience something few Americans experience, and it provided one of the most memorable moments of her life. “I rode a camel, and camped, in the Sahara Desert,” she says. “I love traveling, and seeing the stars at night in the Sahara Desert was something on my bucket list that I was able to check off.”
In a recent Consumer Reports study, chiropractic outperformed prescription medication, deep-tissue massage, yoga, pilates, and over-the-counter medication therapies, in treating back pain. 1
