Meet The Doctors
Dr. Jasmina Patel has been a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practioner since 2010. She earned her Bachelors in Science degree from Clark Univ. in MA in Molecular Biology and was a TA for Vertebrate Anatomy. Her post bachelorette studies continued at Harvard Extension School in Cambridge, MA. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) at Southern California University of Health Sciences and holds post graduate certification in evidence based neuromusculoskeletal & lifestyle intervention .Prior to moving to Fl in 2017, Dr. Jasmina served as Clinic Director in Chicago IL with one of the largest physicians wellness groups in the nation. She has devoted time to various non profit orgs. before serving as Community Outreach Director & Co founder for a non profit in GA striving to educate as many families as possible through chiropractic care, proper nutrition, & exercise and was featured on BOP TV. Dr.Jasmina received training in Thompson Technique, SOT, Applied Kinesiotaping, Chiropractic Bio-Physics & Neuro Impulse Activator. Having completed post-graduate work in Strength & Conditioning she has worked with many professional athletes and was Spinal Health Educator for NBC's "Healthy Living Expo" 2010& 11". Her most coveted title is "Dr.Mom" to her children as she enjoys the outdoors and communing with nature when she is not leading seminars using the latest research in functional medicine & nutrition.
Dr. Joshua Ubbes was born and raised in southwestern Ohio. Participating in sports was a major part of his life growing up. As a third generation gymnast in the family, he competed at a high level and was an Ohio state champion for his age group at 12 years old. His sports participation turned to track & field, tennis, and golf through high school.
Dr. Ubbes obtained his bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. A major influence in his career trajectory is his mother, who is a graduate professor of public health and a health literacy advocate.
Dr. Ubbes graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia with his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Life’s chiropractic philosophy of vitalism had a great impact on his foundation of beliefs. “Our bodies work hard to express health, to maintain health, and to recover from illnesses or other conditions that threaten our health.” Dr. Ubbes believes that in an era of pharmaceutical crisis in our country, there is no better time to provide drug-free chiropractic rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions, with positive outcomes backed by science.
Dr. Jose G. Ortiz, originally from Puerto Rico, received his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Logan University in Chesterfield, MO.
Dr. Jose started at the Joint on October 17, 2022 as our doctor. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from University of Missouri St. Louis, majoring in biology. Dr. Jose is specialized in various different techniques such as diversified, gonstead, soft tissue and activor protocol.
For Dr. Jose, the best part about chiropractic is seeing the reactions of the patients when they get adjusted and when we can see their progress throughout their treatment plan.
In his free time, Dr. Jose likes to spend time with his dog, Nik, who is a mixed beagle, playing video games and spending time with his friends. Plus, he loves his coffee and is a big advocate for it.

5 5 1I had a horrible back spasm and my primary chiropractor was not in office. Not to mention my last chiropractor just said "come see me when you feel like it". Well anyways I'm walking and on comes a horrible spasm that I have not had treatment for like a month plus. Now I am in horrible pain and its like 5:30pm and everything (I thought) was closed. Anyways so I decide to give google a shot and came across the Joint Chiropractic and it was a miracle. I went in and sat down for around 15 minutes and got adjusted manually and honestly felt relieved. Came back ever since after that for preventative care and have been doing way better than when I first walked in. I have not had a flare up since, I am glad I found this place. Availability, wait time, and customer service is always great here. You just can't compete. I pick the Joint Chiropractic for my back :)

5 5 1I sleep on a full size bed with my boyfriend and find myself struggling to have enough room to sleep comfortably and have woken up multiple mornings with severe back pain. A few days ago I woke up with back pain so severe I contemplated going to the emergency room. Instead I went to The Joint for an adjustment and felt IMMEDIATE RELIEF afterwards. 5 5 1I first found "The Joint" in Auston TX. Out of town for softball tournament and needed a neck ajustment. "The Joint" help me without having to do x-rays. I have going to chiropractic's since a car accident in my 20's, that bent a steering wheel in my car that cause years of issues with muscles and ribs being popped out of place, along with neck and axis joint going out of place. The relief needs to happen quickly or I will because sick. After moving across country to Tampa I found "The Joint" again. I love the deals and affordable chiropactic care. Dr. E moved to that location (It's a little longer drive then the closest joint but total worth it) She is very intune with each person for what they need to fix the total body.

I had been dealing with a hip range of motion issue and a left foot that was painful. My neck was also stiff from stress and years of flying with a helmet. 5 5 1I came to The Joint with sever shoulder pain, and I was unable to raise my arm or put my arm behind my back. My first appointment, I was give a thorough assessment and exam by the doctor and received therapy. The doctors are very thorough explaining the problem, why the problem exists and exercises to help progress at home. After my first visit, I immediately felt some relief and have continued to make great progress. It feels wonderful to be out of pain! Everyone at The Joint is extremely positive and pleasant! The hours are FABULOUS, and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the doctor. I will continue to come for adjustments, and therapy weekly to maintain physical wellness.

5 5 1I entered the clinic not knowing what to expect. I knew I had stiffness from a previous injury. Dr. Theresa was very friendly and caring. After giving me a full ortho exam, she informed me the my neck and hip were out of place. She got me fully aligned and I can feel the difference. All the staff is very friendly and the owner take an active roll in the clinic which you don't see at many places. I will recommend The Joint to everyone.
