Meet The Doctors
Dr. John McDonald D.C., was born and raised in Roscoe, Illinois. He did his undergraduate studies at Rock Valley College and University of Iowa. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated in 1985 with his Chiropractic degree as well as a degree in sports Chiropractic.
Upon receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. John McDonald, started practicing family chiropractic in Rockton, Illinois for his Brother-in- law. He then went on to open his own practice in Loves Park, Illinois 1 year later. Dr. McDonald moved to Arizona in 2011 and began practicing Chiropractic in Chandler. In 2015 he started working for The Joint in Scottsdale and then later in Queen Creek. One thing he learned is to serve all types of people and cases, including migraine relief, sciatica pain, neck pain, and lower back pain through the use of manual manipulation. He has been involved in family chiropractic for more than 30 years. He later opened his own Joint in July of 2018 in Casa Grande.
Dr. McDonald says the best thing about being a chiropractor is being able to help others with relief and wellness.
Dr. McDonald lives in Chandler with his fiancé Erin and her son Dylan. He has a daughter Demi and grandson Brooks who live in Alabama. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, golf, pickle ball and spending time with his family at home.
In Case You Didn’t Know
The one thing in Dr. McDonald’s refrigerator that he can’t do without is blueberries for his breakfast. He also has a basenji chihuahua named Callie.
Dr Keith Kretschmar, DC, BCN was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Arlington Heights, IL. A three-sport athlete and football captain at Buffalo Grove High School, "Dr Keith" has always been interested in fitness and health.
During his pre-med studies at Southern Illinois University, he discovered Chiropractic and thus began his love affair with natural healing. He attended National College of Chiropractic and has a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology, a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, and is Board Certified in Neurofeedback. His very first adjustment relieved his mother's severe migraine, and he has administered more than 200,000 treatments over his 37 years of clinical practice.
He began his private practice in St. Petersburg, FL, establishing a large multi-specialty practice incorporating medical doctors, nurse practitioners and physical therapists into his practice.
Convinced that the future of Chiropractic will be convenient and affordable care, he sold his practice and joined the Joint Chiropractic in 2021.
IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW
Dr Keith is an avid disc golfer, tennis player and weight lifter. His son recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University and now manages one of their Neuroscience research labs and will apply for a neuroscience PhD program in 2022. His daughter has a degree in Organic Agriculture and works for Soil Tech in Iowa. He has been happily married to his wife Patty for 33 years and they love East Peoria!
Dr. Richard A. Olson is from the Quad Cities, on the Illinois side. He graduated from Moline High School with honors. Richard was an athlete in track and field, baseball, football, and martial arts. At 15 years old, he hurt his knee and received chiropractic treatments with great results. He continued chiropractic treatment through high school and into college. Richard attended Northern Illinois University majoring in Health and Physical Education. Realizing the value of chiropractic healthcare, he attended Palmer Chiropractic College and graduated in 1985 with honors.
In 1986 Dr. Olson began his private practice, Advanced Chiropractic Office in Peoria, Illinois. He was the Peoria Chiefs baseball and Peoria Rivermen Hockey chiropractor and worked with many area body builders and weightlifters. In 2007 he joined HealthSource Chiropractic running his own office and coaching a dozen other franchise offices. In 2013 the office changed to Dr Olson Health. Being no stranger to the value of franchise chiropractic he joined the Joint Chiropractic in 2023 to contribute his knowledge of health and chiropractic to the patients. Dr Olson treats headaches, neck, back pain, and joint pain such as shoulder, elbow, hand, and knee pain.
Dr. Olson has spent a lifetime loving chiropractic and its benefits. He enjoys swimming, biking, and golf. He loves spending time with his wife, their two children and the family’s giant white dog, Rambo.
