Easy Veggie Snacks You Can Eat on the Go
Snacking can either make or break your diet. If done the right way, snacking can be a healthy way to keep up your metabolism and still keep your diet on track. If done the wrong way, snacking can lead to excessive weight. To make sure you’re doing it right, check out these easy vegetable snacks that you can eat while on the go.
Carrots
Carrots are great because they’re easy, extremely low calorie, and of course, delicious. If you buy baby carrots, then you also get a little sweet taste. Leaving a baggie of carrots in the refrigerator makes it easy to grab and go without even thinking about it. They’ll keep you healthy and still satisfy the need for a snack. Bonus: Give a boost to your eyes with carrots as a snack.
Bell Pepper
Some people don’t care for bell pepper, especially when raw, but it can be a great, healthy snack option. Slice it up as if you were going to saute it for fajitas, and then just throw the slices in a bag. This will give you a distinctly fresh taste, a welcoming hydration, and a healthy snack that’s easy to grab and eat when you’re totally busy. Bonus: Bell peppers are great for providing you with antioxidants.
Celery
Celery doesn’t have a lot of taste, but it is one of those negative calorie foods. Essentially, you burn more calories chewing it than it even contains. This is also another veggie that you can chop up and leave in a bag to grab on the go. If you’d like a few more calories and a punch of protein, add a little bit of peanut butter to this one to make it hit the spot. Bonus: Celery can work as roughage which will help keep digestion moving.
Cherry Tomatoes
This one might technically be a fruit, but I think most of us classify it with the vegetables. Cherry tomatoes are great for your body and super easy to prepare. Leave them in the fridge, grab the package, and enjoy your bite sized snacks. Bonus: Tomatoes are great for men’s health, as they give specific nutrients to the prostate.
Keeping your snacks under control can mean keeping your metabolism and your weight under control as well. You don’t have to spend tons of money or lots of time preparing your snacks. Just use some healthy vegetable options and a little bit of planning to keep your snacking light, healthy, and easy for a busy life.
