Simple Solutions for Every Man's Health Routine
By Brandi Goodman
"Eggs then legs" is a popular mantra some men like to live by. It's important to eat a nutritional breakfast, such as eggs, before you hit the gym for a workout, e.g., leg day. Having a health routine down pat like this helps to ensure you're doing what you need in order to maintain your health and well-being. Some simple solutions are best for every man's health routine.
Start With a Healthy Breakfast
All men should start their day with a healthy breakfast. You don't want to grab a donut and coffee from a nearby shop. You need something with substance that's going to keep your brain and your body fueled. It will work better for your retention skills, energy level, concentration, and mood. Eggs, oatmeal, nuts, fruit, and Greek yogurt are all good choices.
Get in a Good Workout
Some people like to wait to workout until after their work day is finished. Though this is fine if you really need to do so, it might be better for your brain if you get in that exercise before you start your day. A good workout in the morning can really help you feel ready to take on the day and provide your mind with the boost it needs to stay on top of your game.
Carry a Bottle of Water
It can be easy to stop and grab a coffee if you're feeling fatigued. You might even find yourself getting a soda from the machine at work if you start losing your momentum throughout the day. These are unhealthy habits you need to quit. Start carrying a bottle of water with you everywhere so you can stay hydrated and keep your energy levels up. Water is what your body needs, not caffeine.
Carve Out Some 'Me Time'
You need some "me time" in your day if you hope to keep your mental health intact. Poor mental health can lead to a decline in other areas as well. Make sure you schedule in time each night to unwind and relax so you can feel recharged and ready to take on the next day. You could read a book, write, draw, or do whatever it is that helps you to relax and give your mind a break from all your worries.
All men should have a health routine they follow. Though you don't have to follow this particular one, you should have something set up that works for your schedule and specific needs. Try to make it simple and something you have no trouble following through with each day. It can be a game changer for your health and well-being.
