Harvard doctors noted that Danish research found that going for a leisurely jog, about 5 miles per hour, two- to three times per week, helped people live longer. The Danes studied 1,500 people for 12 years and found leisurely joggers were less likely to die during the study than non-joggers who sat a lot and seldom exercised, according to reports in the February 2015 Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
