Hydration Is Key!

No matter what season we are in, or whether we like it or not, there is one component of our health that simply cannot budge. Want to know what it is? It's the amount of water we drink each and every day. Staying hydrated is essential to good health and should definitely be on your daily list of priorities. To learn about the ways you can add water into your busy schedule, take a peek at the suggestions below!

Create a Game

If drinking water is hard for you to enjoy, try making a game out of it. Set yourself up with a goal of how much water you need to drink each day, and when you accomplish this goal, give yourself a reward! By the end of the week if you have stayed on track be sure to treat yourself to something extra special. Soon enough you will be drinking water without even realizing it.

Stick to a Routine

Adding water into your daily routine will create a habit that you can easily stick to. Try drinking a glass of water before your morning cup of coffee or having a glass of water on your desk at work. Incorporating water into your day is much easier than you may think. 

Drink Hot Water

As the seasons begin to change, and the air starts to become colder, you may feel like you don't need to drink as much water, which is not the case at all! If guzzling down a cold glass of water during an icy winter day doesn't sound appealing to you, there is another option. Drink hot water! It may sound weird, but it will keep you hydrated throughout your day and will even warm you up. And with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of honey, you can't go wrong!

Add Some Flavor

If you don't like the neutral taste of water, jazz it up and make it more appealing by adding fruits into your drink. Whatever the season, infusing a few slices of fruit into your water is always a great idea. Be sure to wash your fruit thoroughly before adding them in though.


If none of these options seem to catch your eye, you may need to come up with a compromise. This means that whatever drink you enjoy, whether it is soda, coffee, or juice, you must have an equal amount of water to counter it. This is an easy way to enjoy all of the fun holiday and social drinks, while also making sure you are staying hydrated.
