I would not recommend The Joint Chiropractic based on my experience. The pricing and contract terms were not clearly explained when my husband signed up. We were led to believe he was paying $108 for a special that included five appointments. After those visits, we did not expect any additional charges. My husband has not seen a chiropractor since April, yet our account was debited $80 in May and another $80 in June. The first charge went unnoticed, but when we discovered the second charge and called for clarification, we were met with a receptionist who was unhelpful and dismissive. Rather than addressing our concerns, she blamed us for not understanding the contract and refused to allow us to speak with a manager. As a result, we had to dispute the charges through our bank, request a refund, and cancel our debit card to prevent any future unauthorized withdrawals. Businesses should be transparent about recurring charges and willing to address customer concerns professionally. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

I was so excited just to meet her and The Joint front The way she made me feel. I felt welcomed and seen just over the phone. Then I met my Doctor Dr. Meaghan Campbell. It was just what I expected. Professional, understanding, care about my every need, thought and concern. I am so happy that I came. Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow and every other day from there. If you are out of alignment this is the place to be. I know about chiropractic services as I was seeing a great place in Summerville. But it was becoming to far for traveling. I just started coming to the West Ashley clinic a few months ago, after attending another Joint clinic in a different state for several years. Dr Kesten is fabulous. I went to The Joint for the first time today because I woke up with a pain in my shoulder I figured was a pinched nerve. I left with more pain radiating down my arm into my fingers. I will say, I had a previous injury in my arm but it wasn’t in pain for a couple of months before today. The chiropractor told me I would need to come in for 10 to 12 weeks after today, which was my first red flag, and wanted me there three times a week ideally, but said my work schedule making it “impossible” as I have a full-time job. So sorry I’m not quitting my job to accommodate you haha. I was very hesitant to schedule an appointment for tomorrow which she said I needed to do as part of my “plan” when I really just went in for a single alignment to prevent a pinched nerve. At the end of the appointment when she took me up to the front desk, the receptionist was trying to push a subscription on me and I said I would talk to my mom about it because they don’t take insurance and she asked if I wanted to call my mom then and there. I said no I’m late to work, I will call her on the way. She seemed upset by that and just said okay and moved on to let me pay for today, finally. There was a candidate in the waiting room waiting for an interview, and she looked uncomfortable hearing this exchange of me trying to be sold for their subscription. I understand that the subscription isn’t very much money, but fortunately for me, I am smarter than signing a contract for a chiropractic/medical practice. After looking through the reviews for this establishment, it validated my feelings, and I even got a good laugh after reading the alleged owners replies to their former loyal customers. Good luck to that candidate and the rest of the team, but I will not be returning as it felt gimmicky and very unprofessional.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Campbell and Dr. Keston now for a few weeks due to a bulging disk and they have literally saved me! After 11 years as a loyal customer, I called to pay for 10 months upfront to get 2 free, a promotion I’ve used for years. I was suddenly told my plan wasn’t eligible, despite receiving an email about the promotion with no exclusions stated. When I questioned this, Dr. Cassetori transferred my membership without my consent instead of resolving the issue. What should have been a quick call turned into my membership being effectively canceled. The location I was transferred to was shocked and said they’d never seen this done before. Diana Brewer never returned my calls or emails. This is incredibly poor customer service, and I would never recommend the South Carolina franchise. See reply where owner accuses me of being snarky and vindictive for asking for a simple answer when I called asking why this changed and where was it stated.The email reply even stated instead of providing answers she just moved my account out of spite, my membership was cancelled when you moved it. The other location stated my home location would have offered that promotion. Your customer service could use some improvements..

Sadly, absolute terrible experience. 0/5 stars. I’ve been in pain recently more than ever, they charged me for 7 visits I never went to at all, nobody is helpful or cares about how the business does or if costumers who have been in a monthly plan get screwed, which leads to them cancelling. Never going back, a complete mistake. Do not go here literally I’m trying to help you go anywhere else, somewhere with good customer service and WANTS to help you!!! I felt nothing but condescension and disrespected when I talked to someone named Jenna on the phone about it who refused to let me talk to anybody else other than her said she’d give my info to someone and then hung up on me without taking any of my information and because I wouldn’t allow her to talk down to me while saying that really “I’m lucky because if I would’ve been paying $50 per visit that would’ve been more than the monthly plan” which has nothing to do with anything because I DO pay for a monthly plan so I’m in no way “lucky” for getting a service I pay for.

It seems many people have positive experiences here, but unfortunately, mine was not one of them. I’ve since canceled my membership. This is my first time using a chiropractor. Throughout my visits, I often felt unheard and uncomfortable during my interactions with Dr. Campbell. I initially came in for an upper back issue, yet she consistently referenced my lower back instead. Interestingly, whenever I saw a different chiropractor, they immediately acknowledged the correct concern and confirmed that my upper back was clearly noted in the system. I brushed that off, assuming it was an oversight. There was another appointment where the adjustments Dr. Campbell attempted just weren’t working, and I found her tone with me that day particularly unpleasant— it seemed she was throwing orders at me while I was laying on he table. Example: “on your back!’ “DOWN”. Honey I’m a human not a dog. And just hearing how she has spoken with my partner as well as other clients coming in, it was a complete contrast. I know people can have bad days, or long days but regardless of how her day is going or how busy the clinic may be, patients deserve to be treated with kindness and professionalism, especially during short visits. Ultimately, I decided to cancel my membership two weeks ago. I had finally experienced genuine relief in my upper back—ironically, during an appointment where I told Dr. Campbell the pain had subsided, and she didn’t even acknowledge what I said. That moment was telling. What truly confirmed my decision was a recent visit with my partner. Dr. Campbell greeted him first started chatting with him, and when I followed with a polite “hello how’ve you been?,” she blatantly ignored me—something my partner also noticed. It was a pleasure to cancel my membership and walk back out that day without receiving a final adjustment. This review isn’t written out of malice, but as an honest reflection of my personal experience. I hope it encourages others to pay attention not just to the quality of care, but to how they’re treated as people.

I have been a patient here for almost a year I believe, and it has been a very lovely time with Dr. Campbell and the front desk faculty. Everyone is always very kind and very respectful. Dr. Campbell genuinely cares about your conditions and wants the best for your health, this means that she is also very willing to look into possible causes of your ailments and how to go about your treatment/recovery program. This is astounding to me because of how many providers (unrelated to The Joint) I’ve personally met who didn’t really care about their patients. They just wanted people in and out as fast as possible, but The Joint Chiropractic is genuinely the opposite of that. I’m quite positive your experience with The Joint Chiropractic would be a pleasant one, making sure to keep your communication clear and to speak up for yourself if something does not sit right with you! This is also a reminder that no one, not even a doctor, is a mind reader. Please remember that communication is very important and it is unrealistic to expect that a doctor can know or tell everything right off the bat.

Usually something that is “too good to be true” is exactly that, but The Joint is the exception to that rule. Their membership is the less than cost of one trip to the chiropractor, and you get 4! I am disappointed I went into your office cause of back pains,I explain to the personnel what was going on with me,she automatically diagnose me with pinch nerve without even examining me no x-ray no blood work just nothing,So I'm in pain so I just went for it,I had 3 adjustments and seem like I wasn't getting any better,so I went to the emergency room and took a CT scan and they saw arthritis in my back,they told me do not get any more adjustments,so the moral of the story is do not diagnose some one unless you are sure about there situation,so I just lost out on $157 I will not return thank you for nothing.

I went in because my shoulder was bothering me. It was late in the day and Dr. Campbell was running the location by herself. She is amazing, and really cares for her patients. This place is amazing! I just went for my very first adjustment, so I was a bit apprehensive, but Dr. Savnik was incredible! Today was my first appointment with the Joint. I was greated warmly, helped with all my paperwork, and clearly explained pricing by the 2 receptionists up front upon arriving and before leaving. Dr. Campbell went over my entire pain history and medical information, ran tests to determine where problem areas were, and did a wonderful adjustment. You can NOT beat the pricing either. 79 bucks a month for 4 adjustments and in my case I need more frequent appointments which are only 10 dollars more per appointment. I'm truly blown away by the level of service and prices at the Joint. This location is particularly amazing. Thank you for serving west ashley!

Quick notes: - you're appointments last about 2 minutes - the doctor takes about 15 seconds to look over your charts and refresh themselves on your condition - the care is in no way thorough - it is cheap compared to my chiropractors - the doctors are sales driven with the primary goal of getting you to come in as much as possible, not on doing the healing. - they force you to pay even in advance even if the treatment is not working. 6 wks ago, due to lifting/overexerting, worst hip/back pain to date, so severe couldn't sit/stand/walk. I had no clue where to get care asap. I took a chance w/The Joint in West Ashley. W/in a few days/adjustments, I was healing. I've never had that quick of chiro response/relief, ever! Unfortunately, Western med/pills rarely resolve the problem nor encourage prevention. I have now been coming to The Joint for 2 years. I have had issues with misalignment of my back and hips which have caused moderate pain and discomfort. Through weekly visits, this has been manageable and much improved. Dr. Campbell has done a wonderful job at advising me and adjusting me to ensure my joint health is in good working order. My mid back pain has gone away and I have learned to feel when my body is out of alignment. I also have had intermittent issues with my shoulders, which I had no clue could be adjusted and managed. I went from 40% mobility in my left shoulder to regaining most of my range of motion. Thank you, Dr. Campbell and your team for taking good care of me!

I went to joint cause I had a pinched nerve in my back. They said they could help and recommended i by a monthly plan so she talked me into it. I didn’t read the fine print saying I have to have it for 2 months. That’s fine they got my money. But after going there 5 times it relieved pain for 5 min afterwards that’s it. so I think I should go to a Ortho since the joint is not helping. So I go to cancel and they said no it’s in the contract. I have to pay for 2 months- fine. I’m not going back there how can I transfer my 1 month to someone that can use it? You cant! So if you’re in pain don’t go to that fast food chiropractor. Go to in wellness motion to get stretched for a little more money. They come up with a plan and fix the problem not put a band aid on it and talk you into a contract. My fault for not reading fine print so I’ll take the blame and pay. I signed a contract with in wellness btw they allow you to cancel if it’s not working for you cause they have faith that they will help unlike the JOINT who didn’t help at all!!!!

I went into The Joint (West Ashley) with a pain rating of 8 and the inability to even sit down. The pain was constant and got be exhausting. I was skeptical if a chiropractor could solve my issue but I went anyway. After meeting Dr. Campbell she explained in great detail how this pain started, where it was coming from and the necessary steps to feel better. She was very upfront with me in a sense that it wasn’t something that could be fixed over night. Fast forward a month and my pain is down to a 1 and I can sit down again! She’s truly a master of her craft.

I use to love going to the joint, but needed to find something to better fit my lifestyle and care I needed. I canceled with the West Ashely location in October of 2020 ( they even have my last visit on their records), but can't seem to find the cancellation document that I 100% went into the location to sign. I have had a membership at The Joint in NC and know that you must go in and sign a document to cancel your membership. I had my membership on auto draft on my flex spending card through work and I was NOT charged for November or December 2020. SO in my mind, it was canceled. Fast forward to the present day... I went to use my Flex spending card and it was declined, which is impossible. When I called to figure everything out, I have been charged $69.00 every month from Jan 2021 to the present day (totaling) $1449.00. They claimed my card was declined, and they sent me 2 emails to say, "We haven't seen you in 15 days". I never received these emails and I still haven't received anything after I requested this information. I spoke to Lauren at the front desk 4 times now requesting a call from management...nothing. Jenna from accounting called me to offer 20 visits, which is laughable. You would think after a customer doesn't show up for months, someone would call instead of continuing to collect money for a year and 9 months. Update: Yes, Jenna is the ONLY person to call me and she said I would be getting a call back from magagement. I never have. I have NEVER received these screen shots from you either.

I was experiencing a sharp pain in the front of my hip running through the back of my leg. I was so uncomfortable lying down, sitting, and standing up. Highly recommend!! Dr. Campbell is hands down the best Chiropractor I’ve had work on me. Extremely intelligent, personable, great interactions with the other staff and patients and is very good at her craft. If I had to find a downside it would be the cost, for most people it works out perfect but if you need a lot of work it takes a lot of visits which can add up. But as I said for 99% of people it’s perfect and you won’t find a better Chiropractor than Dr. Campbell

I had been in terrible hip pain for months and upon the recommendation of a friend of mine I visited THE JOINT chiropractic. I had never been to a chiropractor before and was nervous and a little bit skeptical. Dr. Megan Campbell met with me and made me feel right at ease. She explained in detail what was going to happen and that it was very non-invasive and quick. I signed up for the new patient deal and I’m now just finishing my sixth visit and I feel like a new person! My hip pain is all but gone , I no longer walk with a limp and have a new outlook on life without pain! I would highly recommend just giving it a try! It’s extremely professional and everyone is so warm and welcoming. I look forward to every visit and once you get to the back it’s five minutes and then you’re done . Get ready for the new year!

First off the Joint has several locations, but the West Ashley location is by far the best! The Clinic Director Meaghan has created a friendly environment here. She brings such a positive attitude to this location. Other chain chiropractic clinics can feel like they are just trying to turn out as many customers as they can, but Meaghan legitimately cares about what is bothering you and works with you to get you back on track physically. She is very knowledgeable in her profession and she helps you understand what is happening with your body and how to fix it. My wife and I both have been adjusted here and Meaghan is plenty of strength to adjust me (a big guy) and the touch to adjust my petite wife. She never hesitates to focus on a certain area that is ailing you and she’s willing to set up a plan to get you back to feeling 100%. The West Ashley Joint location is my first stop when feeling out of sorts.

I have had back and neck issues my whole life and have been to a chiropractor for most of it. I have had good doctors and bad ones. Dr. Campbell is always attentive and responsive to what my body needs in the moment and always spends time to talk to me, explaining what is going on along with suggestions for aftercare. She truly cares about whatever the problem may be and has help me tremendously with my many back and neck pains. I would not be able to do basic movements if it wasn’t for her doing all the adjustments and creating stretching plans for me to follow. Anyone who has a condition with pain concerning your back DONT GO. I have never been to a Chiropractor and assumed some knowledge would be known. After sitting down speaking with the young lady and telling her ALL my problems and pain with great detail she stated. “I have No idea what’s wrong with you and have never heard of all your symptoms” but we will see if we can fix you! Before starting her evaluation she stated “you will be in a little more pain due to some adjustments” I stated more pain is not what I need. She did her routine and No Doubt job requirements of popping pulling and twisting still having NO IDEA what more cause she was sending to my body because again “She had no Idea what was wrong with me.” after the short time she then came up with a plan to fix me by April wanting me to come back 2 to 3 times a week. Blah blah blah. I go home go to bed to wake up to the most horrific pain I have ever experienced and still having and I take myself to another Spinal Dr who states I have a Bulging Disc in my Lumbar area and should of never let anyone adjust anything without knowledge of what was going on. Which if anyone looks up Bulging Disc in the Lumbar area it CLEARLY CLEARLY states ever symptom I described to her. Know I have knots in my neck due to knotted fibers, sleep apnea and all the other pain that was already there. Considering I signed every “I’m not Liable for any conditions quote” there is nothing else can be done except warn anyone from going to this place. To The Joint you have ppls lives in your hands when we walk through your door and without knowledge WHY do you try and help. What responsibilities do you fill you have if any? Legally you will say NONE. But being a freakin descent human being you have every responsibility to your clients to keep them safe..!! Stop trying to sell a Damn package and be more concerned about each individual that walks through your door. You can NOT PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE with a persons health!!! But I do take responsibility for my own actions and knowing let someone without knowledge play that game with me!!!!

the joint has really done me so many favors! however it definitely varies location to location. i used to live in summerville and would be so excited for my weekly appointment because i knew i would leave feeling great for the entire week. when i moved to west ashley i began coming to this location, and have not had a single day where i haven’t felt pain. now don’t get me wrong they aren’t bad doctors it does the trick for the time being, but i’m usually left back with my normal pain within 15 minutes. it really does vary doctor to doctor there, some are great, some spend 15 seconds adjusting you.

I moved to the Columbia area in May (it’s now Thanksgiving) and literally haven’t been here once since. They’re continuing to charge me, even after asking them multiple times to cancel my account, and even after I told them I had COVID for 3 weeks last month and am drowning financially. Every time they try to charge me, it bounces because I literally do not have the money to pay them. Between both of my bank accounts, I am overdrawn over $1,000 and they won’t even freeze my payments until I fill out a form and bring it in which I can’t do because I’ve been forced to pick up 2 jobs. Very unhappy with my experience.

Let me start off with how much I love and appreciate this company. Ok? You saw that first, right? So, when I first signed up it was awesome. I could go once a week, they gave me some free coupons which I fully intended to save for another day, and I was quickly getting back to normal. Jenkins and I believe Dr. smith in summerville are fantastic. Perfect examples of what a chiropractor should be. Now since I live on James Island, I decided to use west Ashley. First couple times I went there were ok. Then the Dr. that is normally there did something very weird. At the end of my visit, he had me lay flat and then he yanked my foot like he was trying to pull start a lawnmower. Super rough and aggressive. It hurt; but I kept it to myself. Went a couple more times, hip was a bit sore; but I'm a workaholic with all kinds of jobs so I thought maybe it was something I was doing. Then one day I could barely walk. Everything hurt. Hip is all out of whack. I go again and tell the same Doc "please don't yank me again". Not only does he yank me after I just asked him not to; but now I'm really sore. Now luckily I was back to getting adjusted, so the spine was just a bit sore and I could function a bit better; but come on, dude! Now as I'm working the other day I checked the coupons they initially gave me and discovered that they'd expired. I was not told they would expire, and when I signed up I was just glad for the help Jenkins had given me and that soon I'd be able to walk again. When I called to ask about the coupons all they kept saying was too bad so sad. It happens, whatever. I'm not too upset about the coupons tbh. Last week I went and saw Dr. Smith (?) in summerville and mentioned the hip and asked him to focus there. Not only did he do that; but he was fantastic. The Summerville location is tops for me. Basically, go to Summerville, etc. The guy in West Ashley won't listen to you, is rough, and takes too long sometimes. Just my experience with this company.

The "doctor" I was talking to was extremely rude and disrespectful. Even kept calling me "dude" I would absolutely not recommend even walking into this location. My wife was a member here and appreciated the convenience and treatments, but with life being chaotic this year we had to suspend our membership. Unfortunately, the membership was reinstated without very much notice (the notice was in the fine print of a document we didn't have easy access to) and we were charged over $200 before we had the chance to correct the mistake. The staff at the desk were condescending and not very clear in their communications so after an in-person visit and emails to the management, we were left with basically "you should have read the fine print" and no service for our money. It would have been nice to have had polite and helpful service, ideally with us either getting our money back or an offer to give us the services we paid for sometime in the future, but instead The Joint opted to keep our money and lose our future business. Hope that $200 is worth it! Edit to respond to the clinic: Kind words at the front desk make a lot of difference, and an automated system that sends a reminder message would probably have saved us a lot of heartache without any extra effort on your part. Other centers do this every day(massage envy, my dentist, etc). Instead we got condescension and a legalistic attitude and are out $200. We'll be happy to change our opinion if we're either given the money back for services that were NOT rendered, or given the option to use the services in a few months when my wife isn't actively working with COVID patients and is frankly not comfortable with hands-on services of any kind.

Thoroughly, pleasantly shocked. I’ve had chronic back pain the entirety of my Adult life, to the point that for the past several years, I have not been able to take a deep breath period like at all, and certainly not without very sharp pain when I tried, not to mention a neck injury the day prior. I walked into the joint with low expectations- I had been to a chiropractor before to no avail, not to mention my family had written off chiropractic medicine as a scam ever since I can remember. The staff was very friendly and thorough and the doctor was extremely knowledgeable and easy to get along with. My wife has been begging me for years to go and try again and see if I could get any pain relief and I refused time and time again because I have never had an experience that had helped me. Literally two minutes after I was done with the adjustment, there was no physical way to contort my body that would produce any inkling of pain whatsoever. I no joke called my wife straight away and then my dad, who had dealt with severe spine and neck issues including bone spurs, degenerative disc disease, etc., and had also finally found the right doctor and helped him tremendously. I have no clue what this guy did, but whatever he did I will no joke be forever thankful. Literally so stoked for my next visit, possibly the best $29 I’ve ever spent in my life.

Omg. This location has the ABSOLUTE BEST doctors! I'm new to Charleston, but ive been to chiropractors all over the country. Dr Brett Comeau and his associate Dr Brian Matijasic are hands down the best doctors in the area! Both of them were immediately able to tell me where I was having pain and get me out of it in ONE VISIT which is absolutely unheard of for me. I'm so grateful they have hours that are accommodating to a normal person with a busy life. They are open 10am to 7pm monday thru Friday, and I've never waited more than 15 mins to be seen. The 3 times I've been here, I'veonly ever waited the one time ... and it was for 15 mins as a walk in in the middle of the day! Thats it. Its great to know that they have the knowledge, skills, experience, and disposition they both have. I will be a customer with this location as long as I live here, and anytime I visit if I ever leave! Thanks doc!

Very poorly run franchise at this particular location. The secretaries are very short and the only way to get an adjustment is by walk in. They are understaffed and have no system in place to take appointments so the line is typically an hour long to get a five minute adjustment. Do better!

Saw the ads, decided to give it a try. A rather unhelpful and curt receptionist managed to change my mind. When I asked how long the wait would be I got a formulaic non- answer. When I wanted to show her my official "you have joined The Joint" email to get the $29 she waved it away and pointed at a pricing sign and told me to "just fill out the form". I decided to leave and go to a more welcoming place.

You have done an excellent job, but I must admit that I avoid coming to the Harbison Road location when the Doctor is the Woman. Please do not hear this as sexist. It has nothing to do with that, and if I could remember her name, I would have identified her by name. The issue is solely about how quickly she "processes" patients. I watched several before me come back out from treatment looking dazed, and when I went back, she snapped the activator around my neck fo about 10-15 seconds, and sent me on my way. She had treated me once prior with about the same care. Dr. Maples and Dr. Bell at Harbison, and Dr. Brett in Charleston on Savannah Hwy. are excellent care providers. I recommend you all the time to my friends, and always hope they will be treated by one of these Professionals.

Went in for a neck pain and even though was a previous plan holder and my past experiences was fair, this was the worst. I was in pain every time he tried putting all of body weight on my back. His way was just force, no tactic. Something that I can ask one of my friends to do. $39 down the drain for something that didn’t even take care of my neck pain. Never going to be coming back. Was out in like 5 min, what kind of adjustment takes so less time. He was just rambling on about his previous life as a journalist. 1 STAR Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a business in years. Chiropractor told me he didn’t want to “wake it up” since the pain just started yesterday day. Told me to go home and ice it and come back Monday. He then said lay down I’ll try this really quick and pushed on my back two times. Maybe 3 min total process of him talking and then 30 seconds of him “adjusting”. I took it as he was just telling me to come back Monday for and adjustment and was just seeing if anything was out of line. As I walk out I’m thinking ok no problem I’ll come back Monday. They then tell me it will be 39$ for the visit. This is why chiropractic people are jokes. Enjoy getting my 39$ because you will never get another penny. 1 Star!! Would have been glad to pay for his time but telling me to ice it and then 30 seconds of work doesn’t count as a visit.

I love the concept of this business. Dr. Matijasic was very informative and experienced. Didn't BS me about me getting better (I have scoliosis my whole life and know it's bad and need maintenance care). Great atmosphere and staff. Scam. They only want your money. No X-ray, no proper diagnosis of any sort. Every time I went there was a different "doctor". You are basically forced to sign up for a monthly membership and they "adjust" you for about 10 seconds before sending you on your way. Don't waste your money. I’ve had neck pain since my young 20s and I rely on chiropractic care to easy the pain. This was my first time being adjusted and I was a bit nervous walking in- however I was immediately put at ease- my chiropractor explained what he was doing and why he was doing something before he did it making sure I was properly informed and comfortable the entire time.
