Meet The Doctors
Dr. Pat Kolwaite was born in Atlanta, GA and raised in different parts of the country, including Little Rock and Syracuse, NY. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Auburn University in 1997. While a student at Auburn, he worked for the Tigers football team and saw the benefits and effects chiropractic care had on injured players. He decided that he wanted to deliver the same benefits to others and was accepted at Life University in Atlanta, GA, and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001.
Dr. Pat married his college sweetheart, Monika, and moved to her hometown of Memphis upon graduation. He founded and owned Mid-South Chiropractic Center and is proficient in many chiropractic techniques, most often utilizing Diversified, Thompson Drop, and Activator techniques. Seeing the tremendous benefits that routine chiropractic care gave to people’s life, but frustrated by insurance restrictions and expensive out of pocket costs to the patient, he decided to bring The Joint Chiropractic to the Memphis area.
“The everyday stresses that cause so many of our aches and pains don’t go away. People still have to go back to work the next day or continue to put strains on themselves that their body wasn’t intended for. That’s what I love about The Joint. It allows people to affordably receive the care that they need and delivers it in a manner that is convenient to almost everyone’s lifestyle.”
In 2008, he was named to the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40. He was named Franchisee of the Year by The Joint in 2017, and a finalist for the Memphis Small Businessman of the Year. In 2018, Dr. Pat became a Regional Developer for The Joint Chiropractic, helping to open The Joint locations throughout the states of Alabama. Mississippi, and Louisiana. Dr. Pat and Monika have two sons, Josh and Connor. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the lake, and cheering on their Tigers (the Auburn kind, but they love the Memphis Tigers too!).
Dr. Richard Hathcock was born and raised in Memphis, TN and now resides in Germantown. He began undergraduate studies at Lambuth University and The University of Memphis. He then went to Palmer College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Hathcock graduated from Palmer in 2002. He joined The Joint Team in 2023.
Dr. Hathcock specializes in many techniques and is fellowship trained in Spinal Biomechanics and Trauma (FSBT). He strives to show everyone how much routine chiropractic care can really help change your life. He also gives lectures across the state on topics related to your health and the daily choices you can make to improve it.
Dr. Hathcock spends his spare time with his wife and 2 children. His favorite place to eat in Memphis is Central BBQ and loves getting their smoked bologna.
Dr. Tom is from Conway, AR and lives there with his wife and 2 daughters. He went to Logan Chiropractic College, where he graduated in 1999. He joined The Joint Chiropractic Team in 2023.
Dr. Tom specializes in many techniques. He strives to show everyone how much routine chiropractic care can really help change your life.
Dr. Tom spends his spare time with his friends and family. They love going fishing and taking their dog Charlie out to the lake. He also loves eating crawfish while getting to watch Arkansas football.
Dr. Chase is originally from Bartlett, TN. He now resides in Memphis, TN with his dog Gumbeaux. He went to undergraduate school at The University of Tennessee at Martin and was accepted into Logan Chiropractic College, where he graduated in 2017. He specializes in several chiropractic techniques such as Diversified, Thompson, Cox, and ART. He joined The Joint Chiropractic Team in 2022. Dr. Chase spends his free time playing softball, hanging out with his friends, and taking his dog to the dog park.
