New iTrac Therapy May Relieve Headaches

A press release made public by a chiropractic care facility in Manhattan, Kansas has announced the incorporation of a new therapeutic intervention for neck pain, back pain, headaches, and joint disorders that impact areas of the jaw and the encasing facial muscles.

The Kansas clinic, called Nichols Chiropractic, has reassured patients that iTrac Therapy would be instrumental in fixing root causes of these sorts of injuries. Dr. Jarrod Nichols who founded Nichols Chiropractic points to headaches as one of the most frequently observed conditions in his practice. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders reports extremely high rates of headache prevalence in the United States. 95% of women and 90% of men experience headaches at any given time throughout their adult life.

Dr. Nichols asserts that while there are many different causes for chronic headaches, a certain posture that is exhibited in many individuals is the primary cause. The human head is quite heavy and when our posture is formatted in a way that allows our head to hang forward, additional stress is placed on every musculoskeletal structure in the area. Muscles in the face, neck, and shoulders become fatigued faster, joints in the neck are not supported, and discs in the spine can potentially be displaced. This disarray in the neck, upper back, and jaw region can spread further throughout the body and the effects of the poor forward-leaning posture can spread down the spine and up further into the jaws, which could account for the 40% of the population that is afflicted by temporomandibular joint disorders.

iTrac Therapy is a unique therapeutic intervention in that it targets body positioning and posture in a preventative capacity rather than using pain and joint distress as the main focus of treatment. It is a complementary technique that Dr. Nichols believes will alter the course of countless individuals’ lives who maintain their iTrac Therapy regiment. There are interventions that can supplement iTrac Therapy to promote muscular health and strength capacity in the region so the body is better able to handle stress. Even if the individual slips back into the forward leaning position occasionally, iTrac Therapy will make these instances occur less and less over time.
