Why I Believe in Chiropractic Visits
By Randi Morse
I'm the type of person who wants to see results, or proof, before I believe something, and I know there are a lot of people like me. So while I wasn't against seeing a chiropractor, I didn't necessarily believe that they could help me feel better. I reasoned that I felt fine, that I didn't need to have my back or neck or other body parts tweaked. Then I went to see a chiropractor and suddenly my chiropractic visits became a priority. I noticed the difference in how I felt after my visits, and I could tell when my body was in need of another visit.
Back Pain Relief
One thing I hadn't realized is how much stress I'd been putting my back under. Our spines are extremely important. Not only do they allow us to bend and move and lift, they also protect the central nervous system. Nerves run straight up the spine into the brain, sending messages and signals all day, and night, long. While I don't do a great deal of lifting in my daily life, I discovered I was doing a great deal of damage to my back simply due to constantly sitting at a computer. My chiropractor was able to manipulate my spine to free all the joint restrictions that I had, as well as those that were just starting. While I originally believed my back health was perfect, I very quickly discovered that it wasn't.
Migraines and Headaches
I suffer from at least one migraine a month, and as anyone who has migraines will tell you: they're not fun. By seeing a chiropractor regularly, I was able to get my migraines down from a few times a month to just one, and some months I don't even get that. This is due to the chiropractor releasing the restriction which not only reduced the amount of migraines I got, it also reduced the severity of the ones that I did get.
Seeing is believing, and experiencing goes even further than believing. I now have regular chiropractic visits in order to keep my body in tip-top shape. I can easily feel when I need to visit my chiropractor to work on a joint restriction, and fortunately The Joint Chiropractic's open office hours, and affordable rates, makes it easy for me to get my visits in regularly. If you're like me and need to see, or experience, something to believe it, give The Joint Chiropractic a try this year and see how much the appointment benefits you.
