Caution Tip for a Late Summer Cram Session
By Sandy Schroeder
Sometimes, as we feel fall advancing upon us, it is just too tempting to cram everything into the last weeks of summer. One more trip on the road, a last wilderness hike, or a string of parties at the park or beach may be a little more than our bodies can easily absorb.
As we tote camping gear, lift luggage, and walk or drive for long periods, our bodies may tell us to slow down, now!
Before you launch your late summer run, you might consider bringing your local chiropractor, The Joint Chiropractic, into the loop. Stop by to set up individual health profiles for each member of the family. The Joint’s licensed chiropractors are well equipped to field hiking or sports injuries, lifting strains, and any other mishap that may come up. If mishaps do occur, you will already have a chiropractic backup in place, ready to help.
Chiropractic Prep
During your first visit, your chiropractor will explain how joint dysfunctions may occur, how a chiropractic adjustment is used to correct them, and the many benefits chiropractic has to offer.
This is a good time to ask questions as your chiropractor finds out more about you and your family. Learning what a typical day looks like, what sort of pain may be occurring, and what the medical histories are, will help your chiropractor provide the best treatment for you and your family.
Spinal Health
Starting with a spinal adjustment to realign of the spine, the chiropractor’s goal will be to correct any misalignments that may impinge on the body’s central nervous system.
The spine houses the delicate nervous system, which controls every cell, organ and function of the body. When spinal health improves, neck, back and sciatica pain relief may be achieved. Some patients also report they have new energy, or better mental clarity.
The overall goal will be to seek pain relief, while maintaining normal schedules without pain medications or surgery.
Wellness Center
As you pack for your end of summer fun, and assemble individual family profiles, chiropractic may prove to be the wellness center that keeps right on working all year long.
If this sounds like a plan you would like to try, stop by The Joint Chiropractic and find out how to get started. The Joint has a private, affordable care program that eliminates the need for insurance, and a walk-in visit policy that includes convenient weekend and evening hours.
