Meet The Doctors
Dr. Derek Musciano joined The Joint Chiropractic in Austin at the beginning of 2021 and is excited to serve the San Antonio community with high-quality, hands-on chiropractic care. With experience in multiple chiropractic clinics across Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, he has developed a well-rounded approach to spinal health, pain relief, and overall wellness. He specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe, tailoring each chiropractic adjustment to the individual needs of his patients.
Dr. Derek’s passion for chiropractic care began early in life. After witnessing his older sister achieve remission from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis through homeopathic and holistic healthcare, he became fascinated by natural healing. His interest deepened in high school when sports injuries led him to seek care from a local chiropractor. The fast, effective relief he experienced inspired him to intern at that very clinic for years, solidifying his decision to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine.
Dr. Derek attended the University of South Carolina on an academic scholarship, earning a degree in Biology while achieving Dean’s List honors. He then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College in Port Orange, Florida. Throughout his career, he has helped patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint dysfunction, and sports injuries, using spinal adjustments, posture correction, and natural pain management techniques to improve their mobility and overall well-being.
When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Derek enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and exploring nature with his dog, Daisy. He is passionate about helping patients move, feel, and live better through routine chiropractic care and is excited to continue serving the San Antonio community with drug-free, holistic pain relief.
With over 30 years of experience in chiropractic care, Dr. Theresa Estrada is passionate about helping patients achieve wholeness and optimal wellness through a combination of chiropractic adjustments, holistic healing, and spiritual health. Rooted in a deep relationship with Christ, she discovered a calling for natural healing and has been honored to serve as an instrument of healing through drug-free chiropractic care.
Dr. Estrada began this journey at St. Mary’s University, later earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic on January 6, 1989. In addition to chiropractic practice, she is also an ordained minister through Spanish Christian Church and Rally Call Ministries, integrating faith, prayer, and spiritual counseling into patient care.
Believing in a whole-body approach to health, Dr. Estrada understands the connection between spirit, soul, and body, recognizing that true wellness extends beyond just physical health. This led to incorporating therapeutic techniques such as spinal adjustments, postural correction, and lifestyle counseling, alongside prayer, music, and art therapy to promote healing, mobility, and overall well-being.
By addressing subluxations, nerve interference, and joint dysfunction, Dr. Estrada helps patients experience relief from back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal issues while also guiding them toward long-term health and vitality.
