You May Help Your Cause With the right Temp

By Tom Herrin

When it comes to carrying on with the issues everyone has in life, it doesn't require too much thought to know that whatever makes it easier is generally better.  This is often referred to as greater efficiency.  It is possible for you to help your cause by doing a few small things that may allow for this to happen. One of those things is managing temperature, such as room temperature.  With all of the technology available today, it is a pretty simple thing to do.  When it comes to health, it seems that maintaining certain temperatures for certain activities, or life processes, may be a good way to make the quality of life better.

Set the Thermostat for Sleep

Those who have trouble with sleep should feel quite confident that they are not alone.  Some people have difficulties with it their entire lives with little reprieve.  Some studies have revealed that there may be a temperature range for sleeping well that is somewhat constant.  It is believed that from 65-72 degrees may be the best for sleeping well.  Beyond that, it has been found that 68 degrees may be ideal.  Apparently temperatures that are too warm may interfere with Rapid Eye Movement that is necessary to complete a full sleep cycle.  When people cannot achieve this, they may be overly tired and unable to function well.

Try the Metabolism Thermostat

For those who want to lose weight, it can be a real challenge.  Some have found that there is a very specific range of temperatures that may make it more productive to engage in the effort.  This range is 64-67 degrees.  For those who are even more daring, it is thought that shivering from the cold may have the potential of raising the rate at which the body burns calories as much as five times.  That can be a lot of product for the amount of effort put forth.

Make It Happen for You

If you have trouble sleeping well, it may be worthwhile for you to try to adjust your thermostat each night.  That ideal temp for sleep may make all of the difference in your ability to go about your daily activities successfully.  On top of that, if you are into losing weight, you may want to try to play with the temperatures there as well.  It won't likely take very long to find out if it is going to work.
