A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
By Sara Butler
There are steps you can take to ensure you can start off every morning feeling organized and refreshed. When you get your day off to a good start, it can make the whole day better. The trick to a better tomorrow is to start the night before. Here are some things you can do to set yourself up for a better morning, today!
At Night
If you want to start tomorrow with a bang then you need to start tonight. If you can make these things habits then you can be ready to start every morning off on the right foot:
- Make a list – Every night before you go to bed make a list of what you want to accomplish tomorrow, what you’ll need to do in order to get ready, and what you need to remember in order to do it.
- Pick out your clothes – It’s always a good idea to pick out what you want to wear tomorrow the night before. If you use your mornings to exercise, then pack your workout bag and get things ready. That way you can wake up, put on your clothes and have everything you need for your day ready to go.
- Time to think – It can be useful to create a habit where you examine your day, pat yourself on the back for the things you accomplished today and accept the mistakes you made while also forgiving yourself for them. Contemplate what you can learn from the things you did that day and let go of any bad feelings.
In the Morning
When it’s time to wake up and get going you can use these tips to help you stay productive all day.
- Do something nice for you – Whether it’s getting some exercise, taking the time to meditate or taking a hot shower, you should start your day off by doing something nice for yourself. If you start your day off centered, then the whole world is your oyster.
- Establish a routine – If you have a routine every day, then it will help you to get through basic tasks before you get into the tough stuff. This keeps you from using your brainpower on small decisions that don’t matter that much.
- Start off big or small – This one really depends on your personal preference, but you should either start your day off with the most important thing first or start with a few tasks to get you going. Whichever strategy works for you will help you to be more productive.
