Skip the Soda and Choose Water Instead!

Side effects. Nobody likes them. In fact, we usually do what we can to avoid them. It's often the first thing we ask the doctor when being prescribed new medicine, isn't it? "What are the side effects with this, Doc?" and it's typically where our eyes go first when reading the label of that over-the-counter medication we are contemplating buying. Obviously, it's a good thing to be concerned about side effects because some can be dangerous, and for the most part, many of us are careful with them when it's time to take our medicine. So why aren't we just as careful with them when it comes to our beverage choice? Why is it so easy to turn a blind eye toward the side effects that are caused by too much soda consumption?

Skip the Soda

We have all heard a whisper or two about soda being bad for our health, yet it continues to be found in our pantries, at get-togethers, and alongside our plates at restaurants, doesn't it? Wouldn't it be nice if we got rid of its nasty side effects by replacing soda altogether with something else? Take a look at some of the complications that too much soda consumption can cause.

Choosing Water for Better Health

Skip the soda (and other sugary drinks for that matter) and choose better health by drinking more water throughout your day. This may mean that you need to establish a new routine, but the benefits are well worth it and it's easy too! Just start off as soon as you wake up and drink a glass before your morning cup of joe. Then be sure to carry a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day and keep filling it up! Choose water for your beverage choice at all of your meals and have some more before you finally call it a day. Sure, it will be an adjustment, and you may need to make more trips to the bathroom than what you are now, but in the end, you will be living a happier and healthier life. And that's one thing that soda will never be able to offer!
