Chiropractic: Taking Advantage of Health Observances

Countless health observances are held throughout the year. Days such as Family Health and Fitness Day and months that celebrate a good cause, such as American Heart Month, are all on one calendar or another.  If you use chiropractic regularly, you know how much benefit there is across the board, and how chiropractic fits into all these "celebrations of health."

Public Education

On special occasions, take the opportunity to educate the public about chiropractic and what it has done for you. You can use blog posts, social media posts, and more to encourage people to learn more about the health observances being celebrated. Bringing awareness to a cause is a great way to help people see how important understanding it is. It's also a way to tell people about chiropractic and how it can help with many ailments, symptoms, and joint problems derived from them. Inform the public about the cause and how your home clinic can help. 

Chiropractic Care Improves Well-Being

No matter the health observance, there's always a way to tie in chiropractic care. Chiropractic Health Month is celebrated all October long. This is one of the best times for patients to discuss the benefits of chiropractic care. Family Caregivers Month falls to November. Chiropractic can help to ease the stress that many caregivers face. Easing tension, reducing discomfort, removing joint restrictions, and improving flexibility are just a few of the ways chiropractic can improve well-being. Most people going through the problems associated with one or more of the health observances can benefit from one or more of these. 

Tips and Tricks

Chiropractors do more than adjust the spine and remove subluxations. They also offer helpful tips and tricks that can provide further improvement to a person's overall health and wellness. If you visit during Older Driver Safety Awareness Week in December, for example, you might want to ask for some guidance on how best to ride in the car to avoid discomfort. Your chiropractor may advise using a lumbar support pillow or removing your wallet from your back pocket when you drive. Tips on ideal stretches and exercises for your particular problem as well as healthy foods you should be eating may also be on the advice list.
