3-Second Health Transformations You Can Use Now
By Genevieve Cunningham
Most health changes take a long time. When we start to eat right, we lose weight slowly over time. When we begin an exercise routine, it takes time for the muscles to grow. But sometimes we want to feel and look better now. We know we have to be patient, but we need a little boost in confidence to help us get through an important day or to help us stay motivated. If you need a quick and easy way to feel healthier, take a look at these three-second transformations to try now.
Correct Your Posture
Seriously, posture is key. When you have poor posture, it can make you feel rundown and overweight. Your shoulders fall forward, your stomach pooches out, and you look generally rundown. If you need a quick boost, check that posture! Pull your shoulders back, stick your chest out, and pull your belly button toward the spine. You might be shocked at what a big difference good posture can really make, so give it a try and you’ll immediately feel better.
Drink a Glass of Water
Water is so important. It keeps us hydrated and well. When we don’t get enough water, we might experience slow digestion, headaches, dry skin, breakouts, and numerous other negative side effects. If you’re feeling unhealthy, drink a big glass of water. Though it might not be your first choice, it will definitely make you feel healthier and more refreshed.
Say No
Sometimes no has to be a complete sentence. If you’re feeling exceptionally overwhelmed, just say no. Don't feel like you have to say yes in every instance, because you definitely do not! Say no to new activities. Say no to a new responsibility. Say no to a night out if you need to! So many people are afraid of this tiny word, but using it when needed is a powerful way to keep you mentally and physically healthy and strong.
Not every health transformation has to be long and drawn out. Though there are plenty of self-care instances that will take time and dedication, there are also times when a simple five seconds can make a huge difference. Use these tips to keep you feeling healthy, and experience a more positive perspective on a daily basis.
