This location has gone downhill super fast and quite miserably I might add... The only reason to go to this location was because of Dr Adams but he got his own practice. I'll agree with the other post that states that Dr Yates doesn't really adjust you at all and Dr Simpson adjust everyone like a football player and is too harsh towards those suffering from already injuries.. ... But what is most upsetting is the fact that this location in the past 3 months has continually closed because of short staffing and otherwise other complications like double scheduling doctors at different locations and never updates you.... I live 20 minutes from this location and have on five separate occasions thus far come down to visit the location only to find it closed today being the last straw! I've called in advanced multiple times never to receive back phone calls... Very unprofessional for a business and if I was the franchise owner or the joint in particular I would get rid of this owner! Every time I have come down the hill I have checked on Google as to whether it was open or not so they could at least update that!

In the past 5 years, I’ve tried many chiropractors, and honestly, I had almost given up hope. I have sciatica, pinched nerves, spinal stenosis, you name it, I’ve been through it all. My disc at L5 is degenerated, and my right pelvis and hip have been causing sharp, persistent pain. My body is extremely tight, and literally no one was able to properly adjust the right side of my lower back in the past several years. I was a yoga instructor in the past, so I have some knowledge to help stretching daily, stay mindful, and do everything I can to take care of my body. I also understand my condition and learned to let go of expectations, accepting that this might just be how my spine is to the rest of my life. But as I’ve gotten older, the pain worsened. It started radiating deeper into my right hip, pelvis, and groin, and waking up in severe pain became my normal. On top of that, the chiropractors near by where I live, I tried were very expensive, didn’t take insurance, and still couldn’t help. So I decided to try The Joint, I heard it’s affordable, and at that point, I had nothing to lose. I went to The Joint in Folsom, and that decision changed everything. I met two great doctors there, and then I was adjusted by Dr.Troy Mauvais the other day— and WOW. He effortlessly and skillfully adjusted my right hip and lower back, deeply and precisely. For the first time in years, I felt what a normal spine feels like. It was unbelievable. That day, I honestly felt like crying from relief, the pain and heaviness I had been carrying for so long finally lifted. Standing up from sitting, sitting down, moving, it all felt easier. After just one correct, deep adjustment, I woke up the next morning feeling alive again. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Mauvais. He probably has no idea how much he helped me, but to me, he is truly a miracle. If you’ve been in pain, lost hope, or think nothing will work—please give this place a try. I’m so glad I did.

Paused my membership cause I couldn't afford it and what they didn't tell me is that the hold only lasts 3 months and I basically wasted 3 months I could have been using my membership had they actually notified me that my account was no longer on hold. I went through my voice mails and emails to find nothing. In the end they gave me passes to use for half of my missed visits so that at least made up for part of it.

This was my first time to the joint place in Folsom. I have a chiropractor in Lincoln that I’ve been seeing for over two years, but he was closed today and I was in pain! I was very disappointed in the service here and felt scammed. I understand that the appointments are meant to be short so that you can get in and out but my appointments felt so rushed and the last one I had was about a 60 second adjustment. I wouldn't have been so frustrated if I didn't also bring up (on 2 different appointments) that my back was hurting from my flight (they are supposed to add on any adjustment free of charge if you already have a membership) and wasn't really acknowledged. Both times, that was completely brushed over, no further questions were asked, and I was just asked about how my trip was and they gave me the same routine adjustment they always did. I would have given 2 stars instead of 1 if they didn't also make it so difficult to cancel my subscription. They wouldn't let me cancel on the phone or online and even once I came in, they were still trying to sell me on continuing my plan and/or getting a different package. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I do see that there are a lot of good reviews here so there must be some good service, so maybe they are just not putting in as much effort for younger patients. I hope this changes for other customers.

Both Dr. Kodak and Dr. Mouvais have helped my body with alignment and recovery alot. I find that that my body is quite receptive to Dr. Kosak's methods and technique. ***TRUST THE PROCESS*** You get off the spinning teacups at the fair. You're so dizzy that you stumble as you exit. You laugh at yourself because it's funny... you nearly faceplanted right into the person next to you. Imagine waking up one day to that feeling. You laugh the first time and think "I almost put my head right into that dresser." You try to shake it off and take the next step and end up on the floor. So you sit and say to yourself, it will go away, I'm gonna sit here until it does. But it doesn't... The world spins around you, wobbling like a top nearing the end of it's spin. You have to be helped to make it to the restroom, I mean held up. The smell of your favorite food making you so nauseous, you can't even be in the same room with it. Being unable to eat more than a few bites before it comes rushing back up... Being forced from work because stable footing is and turning your head without the need to vomit are a couple of those unwritten requirements in order to keep your job. This is what my wife had been dealing with over the last year. After a year of dealing with debilitating nausea, dizzyness, headaches and having to use a cane to get around with no definitive reason from doctors and specialists, my wife was recommended to try chiropractic treatment as a last ditch effort to alleviate her symptoms. As her Emotional Support Husband, I researched alternative treatments and after becoming Google Certified in Chiropractic Reviews, I found Dr. Mauvais and the team at The Joint in Folsom. During the initial exam with Dr. Mauvais, he was very straightforward with us that he believed it would help, but made no promise to solve the issue. He pointed out what in her back and neck were in need of adjustment and began the adjustment. She got up saying she felt more dizzy and nauseous than before. Then he laid out the plan of treatment: 3 times a week for 2 months and then weekly and see how it goes. The plan was affordable in the sense that we were struggling, but I was gonna find a way to make sure she could give this treatment the shot it deserved. The next few weeks. She wanted to stop going. It got to the point where she would be wretching into a trashcan after treatment. She apologizes again Dr. Mauvais... And again. But she persisted. And Dr. Mauvais' caring team helped her by providing such good care and genuine concern that after a month and a half she stopped requiring a cane, was able to eat more than a quarter of a meal and actually get to enjoy it. Two and a half months later, and she is about 95% of her normal self. Now I'm not saying that Dr. Mauvais and team can work miracles... But I'm not saying they can't. Are they wonderful? Yes. Caring? Absolutely. TRULY BELIEVE their work can positively impact your life? My wife is the walking proof of that!!! Trust the process... Give them the chance to prove they have you in their BEST HANDS! I’m appalled by how rude and condescending the male chiropractor was to me BOTH visits. I thought maybe he was having a bad day with the first one but then realized this is just how he is after the second. How about you don’t talk to people about pricing plans as you are literally about to twist their neck. You think I can actually listen? It’s not exactly relaxing. The joint has helped me so much. I had been looking for a good quality chiropractor since mine retired. It’s not as easy as you think. Going to the joint in Folsom was a game changer “I have found my chiropractor after months of looking”. I’ve always had a hard time sleeping and have had chronic migraines. After my first adjustment, I didn’t notice a change. After my 2nd and on? Thank the Lord I made the decision to go to the the Joint Chiropractic Clinic and get help from DR. MAUVAIS! A couple of weeks ago I found myself in a precarious situation with low back muscle spasms that I had not experienced before. It was locked up, sprained and painful to sit stand, and move positions while sleeping. My personal circumstances regarding by low back were extreme stress, long hours standing, and I had lifted wrong at work. I was in bad shape and seeking remedy when I came to the Joint Chiropractic Folsom location on a Sunday. I was greeted by front receptionist Tierney who made me feel welcome to the Folsom Joint's beautiful clinic. I was on the adjustment table in no time and in the good hands of DR. MAUVAIS! I could not have found a better Chiropractor to rescue me from the situation I was in. I came in stiff and walking awkward and was able to receive curative treatments in trusted hands of Dr. Mauvias. He also provided me with an ice pack to help reduce the inflammation. I took the doctors recommendation and came back the next day for a second round of excellent care from Dr. Mauvais, for my problematic back. I'm feeling reverence and gratitude that I have a trusted clinic where I can receive genuine help! I hope more people realize to get results you have to be a good patient, respect the doctor, stay on the plan, and be grateful you have Joint Chiropractic team who are geared up and ready to provide support for your spine care in ways that are going to produce course correction!

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Mauvais was not good. He was dry and awkward from the start, wasn’t warm at all. He didn’t crack a smile even when I tried to joke. I told him I was feeling very tense and emotional. He just said ‘lie face down’ I’m not looking for a therapist, but when you walk in vulnerable, tense, and in a lot of pain, something so delicate as your spine, you can use some compassion in their voice. He didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. They should build trust for her future visits. He’s the first that’s ever been that cold. He also hurt my kneecap, and when I yelped he didn’t seem to care or apologize. I had to tell him to give me a moment to catch my breath. I left feeling more stressed. Tierney in the front desk was quite the opposite. She was friendly, kind, and understanding! he should take lessons from her. I’m new to the area and I wanted to come back but that won’t be the case

I'm not from around the area but I was in visiting friends from the East Bay I felt some pressure building up in my lower back and decided to preemptively stop by The Joint Chiropractic. My other expression have been great but this by far to9k the cake. The receptionist (unfortunately i didn't get names) was so welcoming helpful and friendly. They took me with no wait time. I've been visiting this Joint since April 2024. Dr. Kosak is absoutely the best. Each visit, she listens to my concerns and customizes the treatments for me accordingly. She also gives adjustments of the shoulders, arms, and/or wrists if asked. I get good reliefs after each visit. What a life changing experience from the staff and doctors being supportive,kind and hospitable with any question or problems I had, I went in for severe back pains and with the plan they set up for me 3 weeks later and I'm able to bend over touch my toes and pick up anything I need to on a day to day basis with no pain. This review is tailored specifically to this chiropractor and my multiple experiences with her. This does not reflect Dr. Mauvais, who does a great job, or the clinic itself, I am simply writing this interview because I don’t want someone to have the same experience I did. Ms. Kosak does the same chiropractic routine to every single person no matter what they say, I haven’t seen her do anything different to anyone. Personally her adjustments hurt more than they help, and as a result I don’t get adjusted by her when it’s just her working. Unfortunately it is the same too for my girlfriend. Same cookie cutter routine that does nothing to help people who actually have issues.

Hii I’m leaving that review guys because I don’t want you to struggle that much I did I was suffering from lower back pain and pain radiating in my leg I came down there for my first visit I got some adjustment from Dr Muvais and dr Kosak and they gave me their membership plan even I was not interested and I got three adjustments there was zero results and they never listen my problem I tell them I haven’t find any results they said keep coming in for adjustments but there adjustments was making my pain worst and then I find core chiropractor Folsom and dr finnell he did my X ray and find my problem then he gives me an adjustment and now I start feeling much better and the joint chiropractor has terrible service they are not canceling my membership be aware from them guys honestly they don’t care you are suffering from pain or not it seems like that they are money eaters I hope you gona find that information helpful may god bless you with better Health and wellness

I miss the old doctor can’t remember his name but he treated me with great care. I come every other Saturday as it’s my only time I can get down the hill. This new doctor at the Folsom office seems to only care about the next time I can make it in. He wasn’t there this past Saturday and I was relieved. I went here 1 time for some back pain and got it treated with very minimal results, and had to treated in other ways. As of now I am enlisting in armed forces and require a letter for clearance in order to enlist. They withheld information from me which goes with their company policy but against california law which states any medical business private or state owned must provide any information needed for any reason. The receptionist Alyssa was super unprofessional with very vague answers as of why I couldn’t get a letter. Wouldn’t recommend

Went in two different times for appointments at 1:30 scheduled by front desk. Went in they had no idea or record of the apt. Also said it was lunch time. Said Wi-Fi was down one time but does not make sense as to why the apt was just not recorded. This is hands down the best joint office you can go to!! It is always a pleasure being welcomed by the front desk, Zoe specifically, she is always friendly and remembers your name. I honestly gave the 2 stars for the 2 doctors who gave me the care when I visited few times for my lower back pain. There is no concern about it. Thanks Doctors..! However, I do have a big concern with the billing/renewal process they follow with their system. During my first visit I have asked for only a limited service package, hence I got the 2 month service pack as minimum. What I didn't know/realize the catch is, unless I serve a written notice to cancel my account, they can continue to charge me $89 each month. Due to this unfair rule, they have charged me every month for the last 6 months, even though I have never visited their premise nor holding any of their time/appointment in any kind. When I asked about this unfair charges of $534, just for the so-called membership on file, they said its like a Gym-kind of model where you can use the service or not, but the monthly membership charge occurs. I am really annoyed.. is a Gym and a Chiro centers are same? What exactly you have a loss because of my absence? What service you have given to me by charging this monthly fee? Please don't do this unfair business to people coming to you with lot of pain. Your business model supposed to relieve off their pain.. not causing it anyway. It's NOT FAIR really..!

I feel wonderful after my first "crack" at going to this chiropractor . My hip had been clicking and causing me a lot of pain that I suffered with on and off for a year or more. The Joint as a whole has been an extremely helpful establishment. My previous chiropractor charged $55 per session. When I started with the Joint, they were only $70 for 4 visits per month (they have since increased their price). It meant that I could get more adjustments more frequently, which allowed my body to actually heal rather than being shocked by the adjustments. There are some doctors who are better than others, but I absolutely LOVE Dr. Simpson in Folsom. I followed him to Folsom from the Gold River branch. He is extremely skilled and my daily life would suffer without the relief he provides through my adjustments. (Edit: Dr. Simpson has moved to the downtown Sacramento location)

Dr. Yates offers a great adjustment but almost more than that, he was the first “the joint” franchise chiropractor I’ve seen to have sympathy for his patients. He was attentive and noticed I was in pain while waiting. He didn’t make a scene but asked his assistant to get me an ice pack. He then gently adjusted me, listened to my concerns and answered a couple quick questions I had. I should note I was visiting family in CA, so not only was I out of state-out of my element, but in excruciating pain, with small children and lots of luggage. I came to this clinic as a referral from a friend. She told me that there was a doctor there that used to work on football players and could adjust physically larger people. I decided to give it a go, and was in a desperate place with my physical condition. After one adjustment with Dr Hartman, my entire life changed. I wasn't completely pain free, but he knew that someone in such a bad condition as myself would need more adjustments. I signed up for the monthly membership and they added 4 extra visits for me the first month. I honestly thought it couldn't get any better after that first adjustment, but it did, and it continually has. After years of suffering after a knee dislocation, Dr Hartman immediately adjusted my knees and fixed my crooked gimp and sideways walk. It is so strange to me still to walk straight, tall and forward. He adjusted my hip and gave me back INCHES of height and the ability to put my shoulders back with pride. I have the ability to look up towards the sky--something that seems so simple yet injury after injury, seemed like it would never happen for me again. I blame my whole renewed outlook on life on Dr Hartman, his staff, and the other doctors that work in that clinic! Every doctor I see at any Joint Office is amazing, builds upon the last visit, and listens to my problems. They each enter complete notes for all the doctors to see in the whole Joint system, so I don't need to explain myself new at each clinic and they can see what was performed at each visit. This is amazing that they can instantly track my progress! All I know is that I'm a Joint customer for LIFE!
