Thinking You Don't Have Time for Breakfast Can Haunt

By Tom Herrin

Far too many people seem to see some meals as more of an inconvenience than an important part of each day.  It may be easy to forget the role that meals play in building and maintaining overall health.  Some likely feel it is more like a habit.  The reality is that every meal should be a fairly calculated component of health.  Some people choose to skip breakfast either because they feel they don't have time or because they simply are not hungry at that time.

It May Satisfy Some Cravings

Many times, when people snack, it is a habit.  Other times, it may be due to the fact that they are lacking something in their diets.  It may even be that they simply fail to include things in their meals that may be able to help meet that desire for some particular thing.  Many crave sweets.  While it may be pretty common, it may actually be curbed by eating something sweet at breakfast.  Including fresh fruits or juices can provide a healthy item that is packed with vitamins and other nutrients.  This can play a surprising role helping a person to avoid having an ongoing appetite for sweets.

It May Build Stronger Bones

Breakfast is a great time to have foods that can fill voids on a regular basis.  It is one meal that does not have to be different every day.  Having milk, or some milk product, can assure that people get an ample supply of calcium.  This can help build strong bones.  It may help to prevent some of the issues that have become so common today.

It May Mean Better Hair

People spend lots of money on trying to achieve a healthy look with their hair.  If you don't think so, you haven't strolled through the hair care aisle in your local supermarket.  They offer everything imaginable to improve the look of hair.  Eating a good breakfast can help your hair appear healthier.  Proper nutrition has a greater effect on hair than many people realize.  A good supply of protein at breakfast can help assure the right supply each day.  My mother was a hairdresser and always made a point to us about the role of protein in our hair.  If you want to look and be healthier, planning the right breakfast can make a big difference.
