Meet The Doctors
Karl E. Standifer, D.C., is a native Southern Californian. After graduating from Southern California University of Health Sciences, he entered private practice in Redondo Beach, California, close to where he was born and raised. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Standifer acquired a full-time position as staff chiropractor with Neurologic Orthopedic Medical Group, a multi-specialty practice gaining wide clinical experience in both orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Dr. Standifer transitioned from private practice to work for the Joint Corp. in Long Beach, California where he has been since July of 2016. Coming full circle back to the South Bay, Dr. Standifer has begun working in the brand new Joint Torrance/Rolling Hills clinic location as of December 2021.
“I love people and people are the very best part of what I do as a chiropractor. My own story… Bone pain, fatigue, night sweats, and extreme weight loss were not “normal.” At age eighteen, I was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma, a type of bone marrow and blood cancer that caused all of the adult questions to spill out! Was I going to die? Was there a cure? And if I did die, what would happen then? My family’s quick action, hard work, and resolve directed me toward aggressive cancer treatment on the medical side and frequent chiropractic adjustments with a total dietary makeover from my family chiropractor. It was during my own cancer recovery time that I chose chiropractic as a professional career path. God had a very specific plan for my life. He allowed me not only life itself, but also a life career as a chiropractic physician! I am truly a walking chiropractic story!” Over the course of his professional journey, Dr. Standifer has learned to serve a range of patients and cases, unique to each individual.
Happily married, Dr. Standifer enjoys his wife back home in the South Bay with occasional trips cross country to see 'the kids.' “There is a picture in the reception area of the new Torrance location taken at the Redondo Beach Pier only a few hundred yards from where I began practice right out of school. Full circle…, thank you LORD… very glad to be back home!”
Dr. Dan Lehnberg was born and raised in the South Bay and as a kid he spent his days surfing. As he went on to Redondo Union High School he wrestled and played football. He graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now known as SCU: Southern California University of Health Sciences) in 1997. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS).
Prior to coming onboard with The Joint Chiropractic, Dr Lehnberg spent 22 years in private practice with a focus on sports medicine, working with USA Olympic Weightlifting, USA Triathlon, and AVP Volleyball as well as one of the sideline doctors for Redondo High School football (Go Seahawks!).
Dr Lehnberg enjoys racing everything from 5k to Ironman triathlon to 100-mile trail races and endurance mountain bike racing.
His personal interest includes mountain trail running, mountain biking, strength training, Qigong, and reading.
One of his favorite sayings: Movement is Medicine!
Dr. Michael Kemper, D.C. was born in Greatfalls, MT, raised in Sacramento, CA and moved to Hayward, CA to attend Life Chiropractic College West where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008. Now, Dr. Kemper resides in Los Angeles, CA where he has become The Joint's local chiropractor in Monterey Park, CA.
Dr. Kemper loves his work and prides himself on helping the Monterey Park community. He loves seeing his patients achieve their health goals and live happier and healthier lives due to his chiropractic efforts. Whether it be sciatica pain, back pain, neck pain or migraines, Dr. Kemper can treat it all - naturally.
When Dr. Kemper is not working at The Joint Chiropractic in Monterey Park, CA, he is spending his time hanging out with friends finding all kinds of activities to do from amusement parks to movies.
