Too Much Footwork Can Be Tough on the Back

By Tom Herrin

Busy lives tend to place burdens on all people.  The rat race that is so often referred to can be a nightmare.  Particularly in areas away from large really large metro areas, many people rely on driving or riding with someone else.  This means transportation by car.  In such, they may well be subject to lots of starts and stops.  Many of these will be somewhat sudden.  These sudden changes in movement can result in a lot of jolting around.  The back is that point in which much of the body's movement is based.  This starting and stopping may be pretty conducive to back pain.  If your commute sends pain down your back, a visit to a chiropractor may make that ride a lot more pleasant again.

How Much Jolting Can the Back Stand?

There is no magic formula for how much a back can be jostled around and not be hurt.  Sudden changes in movement such as starting and stopping can continuously shake the back.  This can end up placing a considerable amount of wear on them, and they can become strained.  When this happens, a joint dysfunction may occur in which pressure is placed on a nerve.  This can mean pain.  It may be almost unnoticed at first, but as time goes by, this can grow into a major pain with little or no reprieve.

Chiropractors Can Identify and Treat

When people go to a chiropractor, they will likely be evaluated.  They are usually given an adjustment in which the spine is gently manipulated so that the injured joint is restored to its optimal position.  This can take the pressure off of the nerve and relieve the pain.  The process is all natural, so there is no need for pain medication.  There is no risk of addiction or side effects.  As part of this natural process, the chiropractor may suggest some exercises that may help to strengthen the muscles that provide support for the injured joint.  This may help to avoid future injuries.

Many Choose Regular Visits

Once people experience the relief a chiropractor can provide, they may prefer to have more regular visits.  At The Joint Chiropractic, they have plans that can fit into most any kind of budget.  No insurance is required, no appointments are necessary.  They are open days and evenings, weekdays and weekends at all of their more than 500 locations nationwide.  If commuting ends up giving you pain in your back, drop in at The Joint Chiropractic today and let that commute be more relaxing again.
