We Must Get a Handle on Stress
One of the things that is a constant threat to our well-being is stress. It can interrupt sleep, raise blood pressure, and weaken our immunities, among other things. For many, it is one of greatest health challenges. People invest all kinds of effort to deal with it. One of the simplest ways is to get a little exercise. It can be almost any kind as long as it provides an opportunity to release endorphins. Another way that some deal with it is through some kind of meditation. Developing skills to place mind over matter can be a great way of managing.
Be Aware of Your Skin
There is a lot of information about protecting our skin. Skin cancers seem to be increasingly prevalent. It is more important than ever to have regular screenings. In addition to that, we need to wear the right clothes. For the most part, it should be loose-fitting. Long sleeves are a good idea as well. Unless you will be spending quite a bit of time in the shade, it is advisable to wear some kind of a hat with a brim. Modern sunscreens are also useful in offering some protection.
Share with Others
We all should realize that we are part of a community. As we serve in it, we may be able to help others while helping ourselves. When we feel connected, we may lift our self-esteem. Service is traditionally one of the best ways to invest our time. Look around at the many older individuals who serve in your community, and you will see this link to longevity in action.
