In recent years, the popularity of energy drinks has risen steadily. Even though most people are aware of a few dangers of drinking too many, these caffeinated beverages are flying off the shelves. A few won’t hurt, right? While it’s easy to think that one or two blasts of energy won’t cause much damage, there is plenty of evidence stacking up against having even one of these popular drinks. Caffeine Overdose is a Real Thing
We don’t hear very much about it, but it is actually a possibility to overdose on caffeine. While it takes large amounts to do so, the possibility can sneak up on a person before they realize. Even if only one or two energy drinks are consumed, they may get additional caffeine through chocolate, coffee, or other foods and drinks. If too much is consumed within a certain period, it can cause an increased heart rate, which can heighten the chances of cardiac problems, and in severe cases, even death.

Once a person begins the energy drink habit, it can quickly turn into an addiction to the caffeine and other ingredients that give an energy boost. Just skip the drink and protect yourself from any potential harmful effects.
