4 Foods That Make a Delicious and Healthy Breakfast

There’s no doubt about it: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Whatever we eat first thing in the morning is what keeps us going. It sets the tone for the day, and gives our body the energy that it needs to thrive. Because of its importance, we should take it seriously and fuel our bodies with healthy foods. If you would like to start your day off on the right foot, take a look at these four foods that make a great start to any day.
There’s a reason that eggs are one of the most common breakfast foods. It’s so healthy! Eggs are full of protein, low calorie, and even provide some healthy fats. Scramble them, fry them, or boil them, and then enjoy. After enjoying eggs in the morning, you might find a boosted metabolism and a little more energy to get your day started.
Oatmeal is such a healthy option. It’s low calorie, filling, and good for kickstarting the metabolism. Make sure that you use the real oatmeal, and skip the pre sweetened kind. This will be far healthier, and allows you to flavor the oatmeal as you like. Add some fruit, a little cinnamon, and minimal sugar to keep it as healthy as possible.
Fruit and Granola
Fruit and granola is a light option for those who aren’t keen on anything warm or heavy in the mornings. Pick your favorite fruit, chop it up, and set it aside. Then measure out some granola and add it to the mix of fruit. Just make sure that it is true granola and not the sugary concoction found in many stores. If you want it to mix together well, you might add a little Greek yogurt as well.
Some people don’t enjoy eating in the morning. Their stomachs just aren’t ready for the influx of food. If this is you, it might be beneficial to drink a smoothie. Pick your favorite fruits (and maybe veggies), throw them in a blender with some milk, and blend them together for a delicious and super healthy breakfast.
