But still other times, we actually make it more difficult than it has to be. Maybe we don’t have to be perfect. Maybe we don’t always have to worry about the giant aspects of healthy living, but should instead focus on the tiny habits that we can do every day. The tiny habits are easier to complete and still make a significant impact. Like what? Delaying Technology Use

So many of us wake up and immediately reach for the phone. We check for texts, scroll Facebook or Instagram, and just waste a little time first thing. But the truth is that this can actually be bad for our health. It instantly stimulates the eyes and the brain, and also sets us up for a negative attitude. If you want better health, get up and skip the electronics for at least an hour.

Increasing Your Water Consumption

Drink more water. Seriously, just do it. Our bodies and minds thrive on water, and yet so few of us get enough. Add one or two glasses to your day to start. And then when you can, add more. Water is going to help clear your skin, move your digestion, improve your concentration. It’s powerful! If you don’t do anything else, make this step your go-to and your health will definitely improve.

Talking Positively

So many people talk to themselves in such a negative manner. We tell ourselves that we can’t do something or that we’ll never get that promotion or that we’ll never lose the weight. Why?! If you want to turn your health around, tell yourself that you’re strong and capable. Tell yourself that you can do it. And then make this positive self-talk your normal. The more positive you are with yourself, the more likely you are to stick with change and make it successful.

Going to Bed On Time

Most of us have forgotten just how powerful sleep can be for our overall wellness. We stay up late, work too much, and never give rest a second thought. But we have to stop. Sleep allows our bodies to heal and thrive. Set a bedtime and stick with it! This is a step that feels amazing and brings amazing benefits to your life as well.
