4 Simple Tips for Clear Skin
By Genevieve Cunningham
As adults, we spend a lot of time focused on the skin. When we’re young, our skin is naturally beautiful. Sure, we have to go through a blemish stage. But for the most part, our skin is bright and beautiful and wrinkle-free. As we get older, we think that the blemishes will fade and we’ll get to keep the glow of healthy skin. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work that way. Adults still deal with blemishes, and they also get to deal with age spots and premature wrinkles. And since skin is one of the first things that others notice about us, we want it to be as clear and youthful as possible. So what can we do? If you’re interested in protecting your skin, take a look at these tips for better skin health as you age.
Drink More Water
Water is key to so many aspects of our health. When we don’t get enough water in our everyday life, it can cause dehydration, slow digestion, and blemishes on the skin (plus a whole lot more!). When we drink water, it helps to push toxins out of the body. At first, you may feel like your skin is getting worse. But it won’t be long until your skin starts to clear up and looks healthier than ever before.
Use an Organic Moisturizer
Moisturizer is key. It helps keep the skin supple and moist, which in the long run can help prevent wrinkles. But if you’re trying to be healthy, choose a moisturizer that is either organically based or that is full of ingredients that are gentle on the skin. Once you find a good moisturizer for you, apply it multiple times per day. The more regularly you use moisturizer, the better it is for your skin and the more benefit you’ll get from use.
Get a Little Sun
We’ve been told that the sun is bad for our skin. We’ve been told over and over again. And in excess, the sun really is bad for the sun. But in very small doses, it can actually be good for you. Getting some sun on your skin helps you soak in some Vitamin D, which is crucial for overall health. It can also help clear blemishes. Put on sunscreen, and then get a little bit of sun. Don’t burn, but feel the warmth on your face. You may find that this step brings better health to your skin … but also to your whole body and your mind, too.
Keeping the skin clear and beautiful is likely a goal for everyone! We like to leave good first impressions. And we like to look and feel good in our skin … literally! Use these tips to keep your skin healthy, clear, and beautiful, and rock the confidence that comes with it.
