Exercise Equipment That You Can Take On the Go

Exercise equipment is a really great thing to invest in. When you have your favorite equipment at home, you can do a workout anytime. But what's even better is when you can use your equipment no matter where you're located. In other words, in our incredibly busy lives, it's nice to be able to work out on the go. If you're off and on the move and would like to take your workout with you, take a look at these pieces of exercise equipment that travel well to help you stay fit no matter where you are.

Jump Rope

A jump rope is a really powerful piece of equipment. It may seem like a toy, but it's actually incredibly hard work to jump rope. It's a great way to get in some cardio and to get your heart rate up. Even a simple five minutes of jumping rope can cause you to break a sweat and burn calories. And it's great to take with you on the go because it packs down into a very small package. Throw it in the bottom of your bag or put it in your glove box. Whenever you take a break or reach your destination, find an open space and do a quick 10-minute workout. It may not seem like much, but it's a great way to continue your fitness routine even while you're on the move.

Yoga Mat

A yoga mat rolls up and can slide almost anywhere. Put it under your car seat or in the trunk. It can even fit between the car door and the seat. It’s small! And if you’re into yoga, then you know that a yoga mat can really come in handy. Anywhere that you go, unroll your yoga mat and get in a quick session. Use the internet or do a routine from memory. This allows you to stretch, build strength, and calm your nerves in almost any location.

Dumbbells

Dumbbells are small and relatively lightweight. If you are traveling, throw a few of your lighter dumbbells (think 5 pounds or so) into your trunk. When you get to your destination, get them out and use them for bicep curls, lunges, overhead press, and a wide variety of other exercises. This is an easy way to keep your workout alive and challenging even when you're on the move.

You don't have to stop working out just because you need to travel. Take your workout with you! And pack these easy pieces of equipment with you. With a little planning, you can keep your exercise routine challenging and your body in great shape no matter where you have to go.
