Dr. Garrett Winkler joined The Joint Chiropractic in Saint Peters, Missouri and Chesterfield, Missouri in March 2019 and has quickly established himself with his patients. He was named Clinic Director of our Chesterfield location in October 2019.
Dr. Winkler is a 2014 graduate of the University of Indiana at Bloomington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During his time at IU he focused on animal behavior, entrepreneurship and small business management.
Having had great experiences with chiropractic care for his own back pain, he knew it was his calling to become a chiropractor. So it was only natural that his healthcare education culminated with a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic right here in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Winkler says the best thing about being in the chiropractic profession and a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Chesterfield is, “Seeing patients come back without the pain that had been bothering them for so long and hearing patients talk about the things they are able to do again thanks to chiropractic care.”
Dr. Winkler says being a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Chesterfield is rewarding. “I always liked being able to help other people, and getting to know people every day is so enjoyable and feels right.”
In addition to spending time with his wife Julie, during his free time Dr. Winkler likes to stay active. He enjoys golf, cycling, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Winkler has a Morkie named Milly. A Morkie is a maltese and yorkie mix.
Perhaps Milly would join Dr. Winkler at his perfect dinner party. Among those included would be Teddy Roosevelt, John Wooden to gain insight into the mind of one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time, Tom Hanks because he is an interesting, down to earth guy despite all of his fame, and two of his grandparents. “Teddy Roosevelt lived an incredible life,” says Dr. Winkler. “I would want to know all the things he’d seen and the ways he got so much done.”
While that would be interesting, Dr. Winkler says the coolest thing he’s ever done was getting married: “My wife is my best friend and my favorite person. Our wedding day was perfect and is one of the best days of my life so far!”
Dr. Danielle Nash joined The Joint Chiropractic clinics located in Saint Peters, Missouri, and Chesterfield, Missouri in 2020.
Dr. Nash is originally from Saint Peters, Missouri and attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
Dr. Nash became interested in chiropractic after shadowing a chiropractor and seeing how much better each patient felt after just one treatment. “I knew it was my calling when I realized I could help people get out of pain without the use of drugs or surgery,” she says.
She eventually moved to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri where she earned a BS in Life Science and a Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation before earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020.
Dr. Nash says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is, “Having the opportunity to see our patients more often than other healthcare providers. It allows us to build great relationships with each person.”
She says the best thing about working at The Joint Chiropractic in Cottleville and Chesterfield is, “I can provide quality and affordable care to everyone. I have the ability to treat the patient and not their insurance plan.”
Dr. Nash stays busy with her 2 dogs (Rosie and Sam) and 2 cats (George and Stimpy). During her free time she enjoys going to the gym, taking walks and binge watching Netflix.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Nash says that she always stocks cold brew coffee in the fridge. “The flavor is much better than regular coffee and I can drink it all throughout the day,” she says.
Dr. Nash would surely serve her coffee at her perfect dinner party which would include all of her grandparents. “I miss them dearly and they’re incredible people,” she says.
Dr. Nash says the coolest thing she’s ever done is drive to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado. “The views throughout the entire journey were beautiful and the scenery at over 12,000 feet in elevation was indescribable,” she says.
