Finding Happiness With the Fall Season
By Donna Stark
Are you still dreaming of sunny days at the beach and backyard picnics with friends and family? Has the transition into the fall season been tough for you? Well, you're not alone! Many people are still experiencing the same end-of-summer sadness that you are, but instead of focusing on that rearview mirror, take a look forward instead and engage your senses on what's ahead. How? Well, take a look.
Cooler Months
There is nothing like the fresh, crisp air that comes with fall, so head outdoors and take advantage of it before it gets too cold! Throw on your favorite cozy sweatshirt, grab that scarf, and pull out those boots for a fun afternoon at your local farmers market, corn maze, or pumpkin patch.
Colorful Views
Summer is full of blue skies, green grass, and bright flowers, but fall has its fair share of color too! Reds, golds, oranges, and browns can be found everywhere you look and it is glorious! Take a ride through the mountains or head out to your favorite hiking spot for an up-close view.
Seasonal Decorations
Nothing puts you in a celebratory mood as much as decorating does. So break out the fall accessories, gather some pumpkins and gourds, and bring the season into your home or office! It's the perfect way to make your living space festive!
Delicious Food
We couldn't be any luckier with the fall harvest because the choices that are available to us are delicious! Head to your local farmers market and fill your bag with green beans, broccoli, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pumpkin, parsnips, cranberries, pears, and apples. Incorporating these fall superfoods into your diet will definitely give a boost to your health!
Fall Fitness
Sure, it was easy to exercise outdoors during the summer months, but just because the temperature has dropped a few degrees, that doesn't mean you need to head inside for your daily fitness routine, you just need to dress in layers! Fall is still a great time to get your sweat on outdoors. You can take a hike, enjoy the cooler weather on the golf course, or grab some friends for a game of football.
Turn Your Sadness Into Happiness
Don't let your summertime sadness carry over into the fall. There is so much to look forward to and so many different things to enjoy! And who knows? You may even find yourself liking it more than you remember!
