Dr. Lance Hatch -- you can call him Dr. Lance -- joined The Joint Chiropractic team in 2018 with his arrival at the Sunset Hills location. He received his doctorate of chiropractic from Logan University in 2010; his studies included an emphasis on sports rehabilitation. He previously attended Brigham Young and got his bachelor’s degree in psychology.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is that I love the emphasis on natural health,” Dr. Lance says. “It’s a pleasure to live in the chiropractic lifestyle and help others experience natural health.
“The other thing I love is education. Teaching others the things I have learned is a calling for me. I spent seven years teaching in the college setting.”
A product of Denver, Colo., Dr. Lance also worked in St. Peters. He and his wife have two daughters and a son. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking.
“My background is in sports medicine,” Dr. Lance says. “I was an athletic trainer in high school and college. I saw first-hand the impact that chiropractic has on athletes at an early age. I knew it was for me.”
He enjoys the Sunset Hills clinic. “It has been a pleasure to work with so many great people,” Dr. Lance says. “Seeing patients reach their goals and achieve greater health through chiropractic care is one of the most fulfilling things that I can ever do.”

Dr. Lance’s family is from the southwest, so he says the one thing he must always have in his kitchen is New Mexico green chilies: “I grew up with them on everything.”
Given the opportunity to bring together any four people from history for the dinner party of his dreams, Dr. Lance says childhood sports hero Bo Jackson would be joined by Will Ferrell, Winston Churchill, and musician Dusty Springfield. “Will Ferrell makes me laugh, and I like the ‘60s era music,” Dr. Lance says. “I also enjoy history.”
He says the coolest thing he has ever done was take a helicopter tour of Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. “We have amazing national parks out west,” he says. “It was a great experience to see it from the air.”
Dr. Kaitlyn Crosby became part of The Joint Chiropractic team in early 2019 working in our Des Peres, Sunset Hills, and Clayton locations. She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University, and her doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan University with additional training in Diversified, Cox-Flextion Distraction, Thompson, SOT, and Acupuncture.
Dr. Kaitlyn, as she prefers to be called, says “The best thing about being a chiropractor is educating patients on how the body can naturally heal itself without medication.” Additionally she loves being in the Chiropractic field because “I’m able to treat a wide variety of issues; not just back and neck pain.”
A native to the St. Louis area Dr. Kaitlyn grew up in Florissant, MO. When not working at The Joint Dr. Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and 3 kids with the newest addition, Carter Crosby born April 2019. Dr. Kaitlyn has been athletic her whole life and ran D1 track in College; she still enjoys running, along with golfing and weight lifting. There is no surprise she also has a Boston Terrier mix named Nike - great running partner!
Dr. Kaitlyn first decided Chiropractic was for her when “I saw how chiropractic care and regular adjustments impacted the healing ability and performance of injured athletes.”

Dr. Kaitlyn has a twin sister!
Dr. Beau Fishel joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2019 as a member of the Sunset Hills staff. A graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., he earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with minors in biology and nutrition. He received his doctorate of chiropractic from Logan College.
“The best thing about being in this field is the fact that we can have an impact on every single organ system in the body through means of spinal correction,” he says. “It is amazing what the body can do once you start treating it like it should be treated.”
Dr. Fishel -- actually, he prefers that you call him Beau -- says the other thing he loves about being a chiropractor is “the look on people’s faces after a great adjustment when they’ve gone a few weeks without one -- it’s great.”
Beau grew up in central Illinois, and previously worked in Arcola, Ill., and Chesterfield, Mo.
In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, which includes daughter Riley and wife Danielle, who is also a chiropractor that he met while at Logan College.
Beau was influenced greatly by his family, and that’s why he pursued the chiropractic path. “Thinking my dad was Superman and the smartest man alive, he is also a doctor of chiropractic,” he says. “He also graduated from Logan.”
He really likes working at the Sunset Hills clinic for The Joint Chiropractic. “I had the pleasure of working with the last full-time doctor before he left, and he was a great doc,” Beau says. “I really like that I was able to be accepted to a position with an already existing, strong, patient base. Also, my wife works in the area too, so she can stop in and get me coffee -- totally worth it.”

Beau says he always keeps almond milk in his refrigerator. “It’s a crutch, and the cravings come on strong,” he says.
If he could pick any four figures from history to talk to over dinner, Beau says he would like to sit down with presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, British prime minister Winston Churchill, and Scottish knight William Wallace, who was immortalized in the Mel Gibson movie Braveheart.
“All of these men were great leaders at their time, and they had to have a determination of steel,” Beau says. “They knew what was needed to be done, not only for their time, but for their future respective ‘people,’ or country. It would be the best dinner table out there because of the amount that I could learn from these men of men.”
Some of the best experiences of his life included his family. “Being the middle child and having two years apart from either brother meant that in high school, I always had a brother in school with me,” Beau says. “We were all into sports, so that meant that I always had a brother on the team with me. Being able to have and share those memories has to be the coolest thing I have ever been able to do.”
