Are You Doing These Little Things for Better Health?

By Genevieve Cunningham

Unless you're already in absolutely perfect condition, you would probably be interested in improving your health. Most people feel like they could make improvements in one area or another. For some, it's their diet. For others, it's their sleeping habits. The more we work to improve our health, the better we're likely to feel. Of course, actually carrying out any significant changes is a tough job -- which is why most of us give up. But what if improving your health could be easy? What if it only took a few simple changes to your current lifestyle? Luckily, that may really be all it takes! If you would like to improve your health and feel your best, take a look at these little tips that can make big improvements.

Take a 10-Minute Walk

Exercise doesn't have to be long, drawn out, or intense. All you need is a little movement. If you're already busy and don't think you can squeeze in a trip to the gym, just plan on a simple walk for 10 minutes every day. This is a gentle way to work the muscles, keep your flexibility, and improve your stamina. Find a good spot, get some good shoes, and get moving.

Take a 10-Minute Time Out

Our lives are so busy and full, it's no wonder that we all feel so overwhelmed most of the time. While it's fine if we occasionally feel a bit overwhelmed, too much chaos can cause a decline in both physical and mental well-being. If you want to keep the chaos under control, try taking a 10-minute time out every day. This will be a time when you can sit in silence with yourself and relax. And it only has to be 10 minutes long! Breathe deep, close your eyes, stretch -- do whatever you need to relax, and you may be able to keep the stress under control.

Wake Up 10 Minutes Earlier

The morning can make or break the rest of your day. If you're rushing around in the morning, you're setting yourself up for a bad mood. But if you have a little extra time, you can start your day slowly. Calmly. Peacefully. All it takes to accomplish this is just a few extra minutes. Set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier, and you may be able to wake up and get more accomplished with way less worry and stress.

It doesn't take much to improve your health. You can accomplish so much for your well-being with some very small steps. Use these to get moving in the right direction, and you'll be feeling better every day in no time at all.
