Work and school and family and friends. While any time is the right time to focus on mental health, take a look at these reasons why making summer your season of mental health is a good idea.
Plenty of Time Off
The summer usually means a little more time off for most people. While it’s not true for everyone, it’s definitely seen as a time of more rest and relaxation. This is especially true if you work on education or are a student. So why does time off matter? Because it means that you have the time to focus on yourself. You have time to take a day, go on vacation, or live with a slightly slower pace. This makes putting your mental health first a lot easier.
Good Weather
Weather matters. Glum weather tends to put people in a glum mood. But summer … the weather is bright and warm and glorious. And in a lot of cases, this automatically puts us in a better mood. We have time to learn good mental health habits and practice various techniques without pressure. We have time to improve ourselves without the gloomy winter weather on top of us. Use the weather to your advantage, and you’ll be better prepared when the winds turn cooler.

Any time that you're focusing on mental health, you need friends around you. Friends pick us up and lift our spirits. They make us feel good and give us support. And summertime is usually ripe with friendships, picnics, outings, and other various get togethers.
